Good service, great sandwiches and an abundance of everything!
I just had a 10 year old memory pop up from when I was a teenager and taking a 20 min walk from my house to this store often to try the candies and have their italian soda and that chai drink they had at the bar. I’m so happy to see them still open and going strong. I miss the delicious drinks and honestly am tempted to write and ask about the kinds of candies they sold, that was what kept me going back over and over. All so delicious. Biggest memory I have of my time in Vancouver.
Great fresh baked goods! The lady that assisted me (as I have never been in and not familiar with all the diverse selections) was very helpful! I will be back to try the meats!
If you haven't been here you need to go both for the food and for the customer service. I'm a white boy who doesn't speak but like three words of Russian and even though there is a communication barrier everybody is always extremely helpful to me and all the baked goods are absolutely amazing.
Pleased with the selection and I'm excited to try the many bulk candies I've never seen before. The pastry section looks good and I got a very yummy little cheesecake from it. The bulk pirogies are a good price. Seems to be a little understaffed as most places are these days but I think it's a really cool bakery with cheap coffee and good study vibes.
Loved the Borscht and pastries. Nice warm soup on a cold day, staff friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surpised at the size of the soup (a quart). Pastries were tender, fresh, and delightful (made on site). She put the soup container inside a knotted bag for extra protection vs spilling as I took it "to-go". Wheelchair accessible.
Good European Slavic food store.There sre many of them in Vancouver and Portland. And almost all of them quite expensive!
What a great store! Their prices are very reasonable, they have a surprisingly large selection and a great little coffee area.
