Farrar’s has great food at reasonable prices and super nice servers. The atmosphere inside the main restaurant is perfect for a dinner out. The menu is pretty limited but there is plenty of variety.
My wife and I came here to celebrate and we are glad we did! A great cozy atmosphere, not too stuffy or sprawling. The service was great, the food came quickly, the servers were all kind and helpful. We had the tomato bisque soup, which was hearty and delicious. Then we ordered the ribeye cut of the week, and the carbonara. It was so nice just enjoying delicious food, and not having to pretend it was better than it was. It was fantastic. The prices were totally reasonable. I can't think of any reason not to give it five stars! Excellent work!
Great service, but the bar was very slow. The steak bites were super yummy, so were the brussel sprouts. The chicken piccata was dry and bland. Meatloaf, meh. Wedge salad was good but very basic for the price. Teriyaki chicken bowl was yummy. I'd go back but I'm not in a rush.
I had a chance to try this place recently and while the service was friendly, the food was nothing special. The atmosphere inside is too tightly packed for a covid era meal if proximity to others is a concern for you (it is for me).
I have not been able to visit you since I moved. The make over is awesome. Love from Tacoma.
We have been going to Farrar's since it opened many years ago. Great food and atmosphere with consistent and excellent, friendly service. Happy hour is always fun.
I have always loved going to Farrar's. They have a good menu and I've never been disappointed with the food.During the pandemic they my favorite take out food. It's better food than most other places and they are fast. They have a nice bar in the back of you want to go get drinks and relax.
I have been coming here ever since they opened and have always enjoyed the customer service, the ambiance. and most of all the beautiful local and seasonal food choices. It has been expensive, but worth every penny due to the high end ingredients. The selection of mixed drinks are always fun and seasonal as well.Today, however was the most disappointed that I have been. The menu was cut severely, to save money, I was told. I can understand minimizing the number of items available when suffering financial difficulties, but the items cut out were the most popular dishes. It is no longer a "Bistro" menu, but a bar menu, serving grilled cheese and chicken strips. High end, items, artesian style dishes are gone, the portion size wete also cut in half.I enjoy dessert and they make the best creme bruleé around. There are no longer dessert menu items, and when I asked if there were any. They offered sliced cheesecake and berry cobbler.Cobbler! What heaven I thought. Light, sweet moist, berry drenched goodness. What I received was something that woul have been served on the Oregon trail out of the back of a wagon. A hard, flavorless flour puck with whipped cream and a small amount of a berry compote.I love this place and the customer service is wonderful. I want a reason to keep coming back. I feel like it's my hometown restaurant and very much anyway coming on a weekly basis. I also enjoy your fundraisers that you do. I would love to see those more often as well as I love donating to them. Please please reconsider your menu choices. Saving money in food costs loses money with high paying customers like myself. I love the neighborhood and this small Hometown Bistro field. There are always a lot of friendly like-minded people there as well. I want to keep coming, but don't drink. There are so many bars around. Please bring back your chef inspired menu.Pictured is my dessert with burnt corners,as I brought it home to photograph it in better lighting.
Excellent service, outstanding food thats 'farm to table' fresh served in a warm family friendly atmosphere. The menus diverse choice of comfort food (meatloaf, pizza and salmon) with the full service bar, which rotates local brews on 11 taps, a distinctive wine list and spirits, has just as many options to compliment your dinner selection.
Been going here a long time, great food and service luv luv luv peanut butter brownie desert, never room for it and have gotten to go many times. Today decided to just order that to go, got home no peanut butter ice cream, also not much of peanut butter chunks not warmed up so when I heated whip cream melted. I'm thinking yes easy mistake forgot ice cream, not driving 6 miles to get it, I called this is where my disappointment is, sorry can't do anything about it, mind you didn't want refund all he offered was oh we'll make it up next time hmmm ok guess just take word on that., truly was nothing peanut butter about it.
