Friendly and professional bartender. He filled water and kept drinks coming. I visited on 5/13/22. You will miss this bar unless you are looking for it. That is where the name comes from after all. Good vibe if you want to just stop in for a beer after work or you are into pool. The music was pretty loud and rockin. Older crowd and seemingly alot of regulars when I stopped in.
The food is good here but the drinks are way overpriced. The stools at tables are so uncomfortable. Small things that make a big impact. It is nice to have a consistent karaoke spot but the mic cuts out a lot and you can't hear yourself well. The only readable lyrics screen forces you to have your back to the crowd, or use the tiny 14" screen in the ceiling. All the singers were awesome.
My experience w/Back Alley is grim at best. This bar doesn't seem to want to accommodate pool players. They won't allow pool teams to use a table to practice for no charge. In the past they did. Owner said she never did. All teams were done by 10:30. There were 3 patrons remaining.. seems as though most of their business were pool league teams. I won't go there other than when we have to.
We go every other Friday night for karaoke! The KJ is amazing, the bar staff is amazing, the fried food they serve late is also. The only issue is the cheap microphones for karaoke. Some drunk people broke them now they barely function. But it's still so worth the trip!And if you go early I highly regiment the burgers and tots!
Nice little place. Made some friends. Good drinks. Nice pool tables. Will definelty be going again soon.
Spent New Year’s Eve here with some friends, the food was fantastic with really good portions to share!
If you are looking for a low key place to have a drink, this is it. Service is good. They have 6 pool tables. Menu is pretty basic but food is good. Cosmetically an eye sore, but a nice neighborhood friendly bar with great employees. Consistent service which is hard to find.
Nice bar tender but charged us $16 for a coors light and a double well..... what a rip for the bar that it is. Won’t be back ever again. Good job boss.....
