Great food, great service. Drinks were great. It’s usually pretty busy so we had reservations ahead of time. The view is awesome being right near the sound. The waiter and servers were all quick and did their jobs great. Food was delicious and came out pretty quick even though it was really busy. Will return!
My partner and I like to go to Rustin Point to walk, shop and eat. Today we chose WildFin. I was quickly reminded why this is one of the best places in the North West. This is mainly because is sources alot of thier food from local growers, fisherman, brewer's, etc.We had a fish and vegi sharing meal. The 2 appetizers were amazingly good. We have the cod fish no chips. It was beyond goodness, crispy coating, perfect fish and amazing Tatar sauce. We also had the grilled asparagus. My partner does not eat pork and I ask the friendly wait person to make it with no bacon. The responce was "no problem" and the results was done with care. Very delicious. The main dishes, which we shared , were ahi salad and thier signature (sustainable) salmon. The salmon was cooked to perfection, and melted like butter in our mouths. The Ahi was also very delicious on this perfect salad. We try to cut down on carbs and ask it they could substitute the potatoes and they added tastey green beans. The server was super friendly and even the manage stopped by, pick up some of the dishes (yes) and asked about our meal and how it could be better and listen to a few suggestions for a sugar free desert. It was a $80 to $120+ meal for two people but if you want to go out to a nice place with great food this is a good choice.
I would not bother with your time or money with this place. This is the second time we’ve been screwed by this place and the first time was pre-pandemic so they can’t say it was due to the pandemic. I ordered a beet salad and the Aji tuna and my husband ordered the scallops and prawns. We did not get any bread she did not ask us about any bread. I told her I wanted the beet salad first. Oh no my dinner and my husband’s wrong order showed up. I had the Aji tuna which was very underseasoned. Then they tried to bring me the beet salad know we ordered that first she wrote nothing down when she took our order. Then my husband had to wait probably 10 minutes for his order To come out. We have the coupons from Costco what a bunch of crap. They comped our meal but they said oh we can’t comp your drinks he could’ve paid for our drinks a manager could’ve but oh no not them please do not patronize this place it is not worth it
This is one of our favorite restaurants. The seafood here is cooked very nicely. The halibut and salmon here is cooked to perfection. I will say I think they need to work on cooking their artichoke more though. I don't really like the feeling of still chewing the artichoke at the end and never being able to get through it. I like that the staff is knowledgeable about what's Gluten-Free and what is not. I appreciate so much that our server let us know that the fries are not Gluten-Free and brooe stuff down in detail.
great place and great atmosphere
The food and atmosphere were better than expected. The drinks were awesome! Great girls night out. Our waiter Cory was wonderful. All appetizers were yummy and rhe shrimp and grits exceeded my expectations. Would come back and recommend to others.
Great experience on the last night of Tacoma Restaurant Week! Rosemary bread with two compound butters was delicious, and the calamari was tasty although the strips were a bit thick for me. Steak was seasoned well and cooked to perfection with two satisfying sides. But those donuts for dessert were the best damn donuts!!!! Will definitely return.
Large strips of squid mantle..no small tenticles. Server didn't know the difference! Slow service and double charged for beer. Won't be back.
For our anniversay we decided to eat at Wild Fin and looked forward to the meal. In the past we have ordered the potato bread with fig butter and loved it. This year they delivered a loaf that had been clearly overcooked and was overly crunchy on the cut edge and outside crust. In fact it was the color of burnt bread. When we returned it for a new loaf the manager told the wait staff to bring the overcooked loaf back to our table stating that the loaf was fine in his opinion and cooked appropriately. We ended up declining the item and removing the cost from our bill, but we were very disappointed in the entire encounter. During the course of our meal the neighboring table received the same item cooked perfectly. I am not sure a loaf of bread was worth losing a customer over. On a side note, we ordered a small apple rhubarb pie that was quite tasty but poorly presented. It came out in a cheap throw away aluminum tin. For the prices the restaurant charges, the pie should have been served in a ceramic pie dish. It looked like something purchased at a local street fare, not a personally prepared pie at a nice restaurant.
Had a great meal with family. Ordered simple grilled halibut and salmon (fantastic!). Also the stuffed rockfish (pretty good) and a side of bread. Overall very pleased.
