Overall a total waste of money. The food was mediocre for a a BBQ joint. Comparable to Chili's or Famous Dave's (honestly those would have been better choices for the prince). I ordered the special of the day which was a pulled pork & cheddar sandwich & home fries, clearly pointing to the board. The staff first said they didn't have cheddar cheese, so I subbed for something else. Then they didn't have the correct bread, so again, I subbed for a difference choice. The special on the board stated my sandwich came with home fries, but not were served. When I asked the waitress she said "well we were out of the special so I just gave you the sandwich". It was my understanding that I was just getting substitutions, she never once mentioned they were "sold out" of the special or I wasn't getting it. Another staff member chimed in and said "just give her the fries" which I guess was nice? Idk they still seemed annoyed to give me what I ordered. I'm glad I got the fries though because they were the tastiest part of the meal. The mac & cheese at KFC or Chick-fil-A is better than here. If you're looking to try something new I would steer clear...
The brisket sandwich was just OK. I liked the sauce, but thought the meat could have been more tender. The fries were oddly sweet. The waitress was really nice. The kitchen staff was having a conversation that could be heard in the dining room. F-word and several other swear words included. I would have enjoyed my lunch more if I didn't have to hear them.
Good food my pulled pork sandwich was delicious, the fries were a little over cooked to my taste or seems like the oil was too dirty because of the taste and color, but overall good place to take your wife/girlfriend for a good dinner. I would definitely be back, I would recommend this place!
First time coming into Warthogs and probably the last. The greens were very salty, potato salad is store bought, the baby back ribs were mediocre at best, apparently I was served meat that had been setting all day, which I'm not sure if it was the ribs that were salty or the sauce which was very salty. The ribs automatically came with the sauce on it, which left the meat undesirable. Overall experience for what they charge was not a good experience. I got the chick to go, so I can only imagine that experience.
Got the sampler, meat was covered in pepper and some was tough. The brisket was OK, sides were tiny. Felt it was a big waste of $60. Big disappointment. If you like the flavor of smoke and pepper and like to chew c'mon down!
Pretty good. Comparing to any chain type of bbq it was stellar, but comparing with real craftsmen who smoke as an art it was good. Bit too salty, sauce needed a bit more kick, beans good, slaw okay, corn bread dense and moist, note i ONLY only only had pork ribs not the brisket ( and thats where the real artistry is required so i will get that next time ) and only referring to the pork ribs, on that item alone, the smoke penetration was not very deep but meat was moist and easily lifted from the bone, some silver was left which is always unappetizing. Received a 1/4 rack with fixins for $20 which I guess is average ? Dirty fries pretty good. Taxidermy was over the top .. got goosed by a gazelle trying to get to the bathroom. Worthy of trying once if in the area but not what i woukd call a destination.
Introduced to this restaurant on Valentines day, best part, no waiting. Sides were delicious though could have been hotter. Meats were okay, suggest removing the vein from pork ribs, plan to try again when weather warms
The high chairs for kids are all broken!! Not safe they charged me for a mask even though everyone in the kitchen cooking my food is not wearing a mask! Food was terrible. Service was a joke I mean what kinda place don't have water...
I have been to warthog several times before. The food was always on pointe. Today it was a tad off kilter. The brisket wasn't as tender as it normally is, the turkey in spots tasted gamey and the cornbread muffin, no thank you.The rib, beans and potato salad were very tasty. The staff were all helpful and friendly.I'll probably go back and give it another try. 2-14-2022
I am a driver from out of town and was hungry So I decided to stop here for some barbecue.I sent my wife in for three sandwiches which came out to be $49. Very expensive. And they actually forgot to give me one of my pork sandwiches links. These are not links sandwiches these are meat sandwiches or something. I know where not to get barbecue from now. I should’ve never stopped there they have a good location and I figured you can’t go wrong with barbecue sandwiches but this place taste nasty.I hate when people put mustard in there barbecue sauce. Also I can tell that there is tomato paste in the barbecue sauce. Very nasty. The fries were burnt and only taste good with the barbecue sauce which was disgusting also. Oh yeah so we went back to get another sandwich because they forgot to put it with my order and they gave me the hardest cookie ever.I know I will never be back Here again and I do not recommend you going here just wait to go to Texas or anywhere down south because this is not a barbecue this is just slap. Get it together you guys food is nasty. Respectfully Mike
