Decent rolls but very predictable. Lots of fried rolls and versions of the same thing. Good hamachi. Drink specials. The one thing we really didn’t like is the incredibly bright cafeteria lighting and decor. No ambiance at all. Not Japanese.
This was the first time we ate at Trapper's Sushi and it was great! We tend to enjoy spicy sushi and found delicious choices. They started us out with a bowl of edamame that was lightly salted on the outside. We then selected the Rainbow, the firecracker, the volcano and the big dawg. So good! Finished off by sharing a dish of fried ice cream. (The empty dish?)
Always amazing! We have been going to Tuesday all you can eat dinner and Thursday all you can eat lunch for a while now, just realized appetizers were included in the Tuesday deal! GAME CHANGER! !
Got seated in their dining room and waited for five minutes without a server approaching our table for so much as a drink order. I saw three servers standing by the sushi bar, which was half-full (and is mainly served by the sushi chefs), and there were maybe six tables in use in the restaurant including ours. The prices have gone way up and if there are any daily specials as there used to be, they're not advertised anywhere on the table tents or the menu. The rolls are north of $15 for anything that isn't basic. I used to love Trapper's, but I don't think I'll be coming back.
We went to this place during happy hour they have good deals! We order the 3 for $30 rolls we also order appetizers and Drinks. Our server was so good and gave us some recommendations.I don't remember the names if the rolls but trust me they're good!We definitely go back to this trappers sushi on 6th.
This was my first time at a Trapper's Sushi. In the past (15 years ago), we would sit at a sushi bar while the food was prepared right in front of us. It was very fresh and flavorful. I personally did not find this food to be that flavorful. They had a good selection of drinks. I will probably stick to the traditional sushi bars in the future, and avoid chains. Just not what I remembered sushi to be. Also, VERY pricey; but that's par for the course these days.
Wonderful selection of rolls. Super delicious! Great staff!
First time going to their new location on 6 avenue. Well worth the wait, our server Brendan was great.Food was of the highest quality and was brought to us within 5 minutes after we ordered it.
So glad they opened this location up again! Excellent interior on the new construction. The food is phenomenal as always and the staff are great. The roll variety is incredible and the quality of the ingredients is awesome. Some suggestions for improvement: Tamago rolls and nigiri. Also more basic veggie maki rolls like Kappa Maki, etc. The prices are a little high for individual rolls, but if you do All-You-Can-Eat at the bar, you'll get a better value.
Had their lunch sushi all you can eat. 4 rolls and I was content, chefs were awesome to talk with, food was top quality, super clean place to eat lunch at. Glad the locals brought me here for a business meeting.
