I've worked here for the last 7 months and I am happy to have had the opportunity. The best thing about my time here was how easy it was to get along with my coworkers, especially my bosses. They worked with me nearly everyday and showed me that they were not too good to make sandwiches alongside us. They were not 100% corporate bosses who run the show without ever having stepped into the store. Not only did they set a good example for work ethic, but many conversations throughout the day consisted of financial intelligence, life advice, and even learning Vietnamese. I appreciate the role models they were for me, and hopefully, my coworkers. They weren't just running a successful business, they were helping young women and men navigate life. And for that, they have made a lifelong customer of me - as well as a friend. I wish them the best of luck as we part ways, hopefully they stick to their roots as it would be sad to visit in the future and not have that environment I experienced while working.I may be rambling but if you need a food review, the banh mi is amazing. It will not disappoint. It is perfectly baked, has a great savory-sweet balance, and will set a new standard for Vietnamese sandwiches.
Absolutely love their sandwiches - not too soft and not too crunchy! I've probably tried just about everything on their menu by now. The Hoi An (classic cold cuts) and Mekong (grilled pork) are my favorites.I haven't tried many of their drinks, but the Matcha Mango (try with lychee jelly) has a fierce hold on me. I can never find anything like it elsewhere! On a side note - I was able to train at Toast Mi for a while before I ultimately decided that the work style wasn't for me (For context, I prefer working as a barista). Though my training was short, I enjoyed my time here. The bosses are great people, and their hard work shows. Their employees always have something nice to say about them, which reflects on their business. Things were always super clean and organized, which made working with them feel like a breeze! That aside, the bosses definetely understand how to run a business. Best of luck to Toast Mi, and congratulations on your new location in Green Lake!
Delicious! Had the Mekong bahn mi sandwich delivered via door dash. Super fast & very tasty! I added a fried egg - you gotta do it!
Absolutely the best. This place is amazing. We have been here in the past and nothing is like there Pork Sandwich. When I say that I mean nothing compares. We also tasted the bowls both grilled pork bowl and grilled beef bowl. Hands down the best food. So good. Thank you Toast Mi for sharing your family recipes.
Bowls are great!! All the meat has great flavor! Plus I really recommend the classic milk tea (great and not excessively sweet)
Everything on the menu feels "safe", and the japepinos what few they put on are consistently devoid of any spice/flavor. (even asked for extra, still nothing)Lastly the bread needs slightly more chewiness. Sad.I'll try it again sometime, but this is too safe and flavorless for my tastes.
I love this place. I’m new to the area because of my work and discovered this little gem. The sandwiches are very good. I always get the imperial city with pork and beef (and everything on it!), one for me and one for my husband. The people working there are so nice. Delicious food and great customer service! ??
I had never ate there before, and tried their sandwiches. So amazing! Their boba is good as well
The sandwich is definitely a 5 star but the customer service not so much. My 7 year old son wanted to take me out on a Valentine’s Day date and he chose toast mi, it was sweet but the staff was rude and felt very annoyed to have a child in there. PSA: even if you order boba tea you have to specifically, additionally add on bobas or it will just be tea.
First time here. Thai iced tea was really flavorful and not overly sweet. Chicken Bahn mi texture and taste was damn good. Price doesn't break the bank. ??
