Solid dogs/brats of all variety, including a good vegan selection. The Mac is perfect comfort food. The baked beans were off the last time we tried them but they're usually the perfect blend of sweet & savory bean deliciousness. They have a heck of a rotating beer selection and usually pretty great service. Our last visit, my husband ordered a beer he thought he knew he liked but it turned out he was very wrong. Our server replaced it with a fresh new choice without hesitation or extra charge. We love TRH.
I feel like I went to an entirely different restaurant than some of the reviews I read. The price was reasonable, I asked for a chili dog and was recommended the coney dog with cheese. The hot dog was barely warm, cold bun, the 'chili' was more like a spaghetti meat sauce (no beans) and no chili flavor. They used a Jack type cheese that didn't go with the sauce. I should have asked for cheddar, my bad. So sad. I was excited to go to a hot dog joint figuring they would do hot dogs proud. Still searching for a great chili dog.
Great gourmet hotdogs and sausage dogs. Had the Hound Dog and Raging Cajun. Poppie seed buns were soft and perfect for the dog and sausage. Asked the server to suggest two of his favorites and he didn't disappoint. A huge selection of craft beer, next time I'll try some of them. Atmoshpere was comfortable and welcoming. Only issue was parking and not their problem. Get here before the crowd. Good vibe, great tasting dogs and friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Good quality dogs, soft buns, creative toppings that are tasty at a reasonable price. They've improved their beer selection immensely over the years and expanded to better seating. Hard to argue with it other than it does feel like a place to start out at our end the night with on 6th Ave unless you don't have any particular thing you want to do.. in a good way
My friends and I go here every once in a while and it's consistently a great experience. All of their mainline menu hotdogs/sausages are delicious and there is a good selection of beers, very clean facility too.My only gripe is that the tap list is hard to read from some seating areas but the staff can easily tell you what they have.
Bingo!! Creative hot dogs and beer. This little gem always satisfies my hot dog craving. Mac n cheese dog is as amazing as it sounds. Big fan of the spaceCowboy too… Cold brew coffee and Root Beer. Check this spot out.
The best beer selection and hot dogs in Tacoma!! Staff is amazing! Been a must have for 10 plus years!! Elliot, Shawn, Jess, Michael, Dewey, Trae, Kourtney and Seagren and everyone else are amazing. If you like craft beer and hot dogs/sausage this is the place to be!!
Not your average dog or brat here. My favourite is the Rainier Reuben followed by the 6th Ave Strut. Never thought that cream cheese on a hot dog be good..it is tasty! Accompany with a great tasting beer or an awesome cider.
RedHot is by far the best spot in Tacoma. Service is on point. Beers are delicious and refreshing. Hot dogs leave you feeling satisfied. Five stars.
