Steel Creek was a blast! Went for my 21st birthday with my friend and the service was great. Food was good too! Great drinks and a friendly bar tender- felt safe and had fun! Now time to learn more line dances ð
Did not receive a table. We showed up and they said that they do not do reservations on concert nights. I showed them my reservation and they just said "sorry".
On arrival, we were one of only two tables with guests so it was very quiet. Our server was very nice and had great suggestions. She checked on us regularly. The food was pretty good. My wife had the fish and chips and the fish was quite tasty and there was a fair amount of it. I had the Smokehouse burger with cheese added. It was OK. The meat was a disc so not sure if the meat is fresh or not. The meat was slightly overcooked so a little dry. Cajun fries were nicely seasoned. Our drinks were very good. I would return to try again and hopefully with a larger crowd to get a sense of the vibe in this country/western bar.
VERY different menu than displayed on Open Table. Limited, and more âbar foodâ than fine dining.. Had chosen meals before arriving only to be surprised by the limited menu of (majority) fried food. All is fine if thatâs what youâre into, just wish weâd known before going. Also, did NOT realize itâs a country bar/club, complete with a mechanical bull lol. Just a totally different vibe than whatâs portrayed, IMO.
Food was not good. The waffle on the chicken and waffle sliders were cold and just not good. Chicken tenders were bland. The hot sauce was just spicy oil.
I saw this place on DoorDash and was very excited to try a different BBQ place while sick at home (COVID). I ordered the 2-step (brisket and pulled pork, comes with beans and cornbread and 2 sides- I got large mac & cheese and coleslaw, and ordered some brisket chili too.The manager, Jessica, called me after I ordered to tell me they were out of chili. I got bread pudding instead. She called me again later to say my food had been ready for 20 minutes and she was worried it would get cold. It was picked up a few minutes later and delivered.What I received was not what I had ordered, and I had paid extra to get large sides. Normally I would take it up with DD support, but Jessica had been so kind, I called her to explain the issues. She COMPLETELY resolved the problems for me and apologized because she said it was "her fault". I was not upset at all, she seemed very busy but had taken the time to fix everything for me! Jessica was incredibly helpful despite being so busy. She had also included a card in the bag so I could stop in to try the chili for free another time.Bottom line: delicious food, great value, ABOVE AND BEYOND customer service! I really recommend giving them a try!Jessica, I hope you know what a gem you are, and thank you for being so thoughtful!
Steel Creek food and atmosphere is always delicious and fun. Post-pandemic they are still on a lighter version of their menu, but they have all of the favorites - fish, burgers, chicken, sandwiches, and a couple of great desserts. They also still have a very long whiskey list. Learn to line dance or watch everyone else. It's a great time. The worst part is finding a place to park.
I gotta be honest, when we walked in here we had no idea it was a line dancing bar, and that’s on me. HOWEVER, the food was phenomenal, the waitstaff was lovely, and they were great with the toddler in our group. It was fairly empty because they’d just opened, and the only thing I’d change is the volume level. Must be a heck of a party when things get going.
Our server was amazing, but when I went to the bar to close my tab the bartender (white girl with shoulder length black wavey hair) blacklisted me for telling her that the people to my left had not been served after three patrons to my right. She then proceeded to ignore me through three more consecutive orders to my right intentionally all because I mentioned the people to my left. She never closed my tab and I had to find a manager to help me. This particular bartender was intentionally hateful toward me even though I was only an observer and it broke my heart that the people on my left side were continually ignored. It is busy and stressful but there is no excuse for hate. She was obviously over worked and wasn't mature enough to recognize her situation and hated me instead of accepting her failure. I waited 45 minutes at the bar without being helped. My advise is to make reservations for a table and only pay your bar tab through your server even if it's busy. If it weren't for our amazing server, I would have given it less then one star if possible. Broke my heart that the bartender could be so hateful.
