Stadium Thai truly deserves the title of best fried rice in Tacoma. The food is extremely delicious every single time, you get a lot for your dollar, and the lady who usually works the register is one of the nicest people I've met, she's even memorized all our orders.I hope this place stays open my entire life, because I'll keep coming back as long as it's open.
I put in a to go order and it was ready and hot off the stove top when I got there. Pricing is reasonable for the portion sizes. We ordered pad see ew and phad thai both with chicken and 2 stars. Would probably get one more star next time. Service was phenomenal and care goes into each order. Also the phad thai didn't have the weird red color that a lot of places will have around here. Would recommend eating here again.
I ordered red curry which I had from here several months ago. They told me it was a 25 minute wait which was fine except it ended up taking 50 minutes. The curry was straight up soup and had almost no chicken or vegetables. I don’t know what happened to this place in the last couple months, perhaps they have gotten too many customers to properly support. It’s one thing to take an extra 20 minutes of my time but to then give me an inferior product was the line too far. Avoid at busy at times, it might still be good during off hours but I won’t be finding out.
Amazing Food, Locally Owned and Operated, Immaculate Clean Kitchen! Friendly Owners and Staff! Open For Dine In and Take Out!?
The food is fantastic + amazingly quick service + vegetarian options for most dishes. The pineapple fried rice is so good; they put a curry sauce in it that gives it a unique flavor. The pad see ew (drunken noodle) is also a favorite of our’s and all the curry types we’ve tried have been very flavorful. Thinner curry sauce than other places but I suspect this is more authentic and it goes great with rice. Overall we are so happy this place is right down the street for a convenient no frills breakfast(!), lunch or dinner!
I literally just moved here from NY and have kind of made it a point to try almost every Thai place in the city. Leaving NY I was honestly heartbroken that I wasn't going to find a Thai place that I'd love. I literally saw this place on my way to stadium thiftway and it completely knocked every other restaurant I've been to off the playing field. It's seriously the best. I'm honestly writing this because I pulled up the menu in hopes of convincing my sweetheart to get me more Thai food!!
We came for breakfast this morning. I ordered the chicken curry sandwich and my spouse ordered one of the grandma's specials. We both got coffees (hot plain coffee for me and an iced Thai coffee for my spouse). Coffee was the perfect amount and my sandwich was exactly the right amount of food. My spouse had leftover chicken (so I got to grab a nibble). The food was made fresh to order, quick, and very reasonably priced considering how delicious it was. There was no wait when we got there, which probably helped us get our food so fast. Now to talk about how delicious it was - seasoned perfectly, spicy, flavorful, fresh veggies and pickles. I'm not lying when I say my mouth is actually watering as I write this review.I received the recommendation from the baristas at Bluebeard's coffee when I was lamenting how busy my other favorite Thai place gets. 10/10 I will be back and I will bring friends
Love this place - hidden gem. Great food for a great price. The owner is a treat. Take the opportunity to chat.
I got blown away by their Panang Curry! Definitely a must try! My sister who is not a fan of Thai Coffee was converted too. Their pad thai was equally good. :)
We thoroughly enjoyed the Wonton Soup, and the Drunken Noodles (sorry, don’t recall the Thai name). Loved the tender, flavorful chicken and veggies cooked to perfection. Cannot wait to go back, maybe tonight. The crispy spring rolls were excellent, too. Welcome to Tacoma, Stadium Thai!
