This place has gone down hill. Not sure what happened to their breadsticks but they’re terrible now. Had to put their wings in the air fryer for 15 minutes on high because they were just fleshy undercooked blobs of fat.
The pizza is good and the staff are even better. Love the classic laid-back pizza vibe and friendly service.I was especially impressed tonight when I walked up to the counter and saw some rude customer hassling staff about some trivial nonsense. They dealt professionally and courteously with the rude dude while juggling my order with a welcome smile as we exchanged some quiet “keeping-it-real” words and expressions about the awkward old-rich-white-guy situation. Extra tip tonight cuz god only knows how these dedicated pizza-heads are dealing with landlords hiking rent 22% this past year in Tacoma.
Always a great pizza but Sammy's seems to have figured it out with the (new?) addition of Kianna a very nicely dressed young lady working at the register and I believe taking calls. She was professional to say the least and an absolute delight. 10 times better than my last experience. No need to get into it because she has clearly fixed the problem! Keep up the great work young lady, you're future is bright!
Sammy’s pizza is not only our favorite in Tacoma but ranks number 1 compared to pizzas we have tried in other cities! The beer crust is especially good! Great chew and delicious full flavor! We love Sammy’s!!!
We had a horrible experience with Sammy's last night. It seems to be related to the ONLINE ordering process. We ordered Pizza online at 6:25 p.m. and lost track what time it was, and curious at 7:25 p.m. why the pizza delivery hadn't arrived yet and why we didn't get notification of when Pizza was coming. I called Sammy's directly and was told it was on the way and should be there in 10 minutes. I also asked why we didn't get any notifications and he said, I don't know how the online ordering works. We called back at 7:45, which was 25 minutes later and said, my driver has been driving around for an hour and can't find your house and we have called you several times and get a medical office recording. This story was very different from my 7:25 conversation saying it was 10 min out. We have never used any other phone number on the account other than our personal cell under our Sammy's account. . We have been pretty regular customers of Sammy's and mostly always get delivery. We said the Pizza will now be cold and we pretty hungry and couldn't wait any longer for the delivery to re route. We said we wanted to cancel the pizza order. The person on the phone was a little surprised and/ or agitated that we would cancel. I said yes, we want to cancel and be credited and that we were pretty much done with Sammy's. The person on the phone said he would credit the account and then said Have a good life and hung up! I called back and asked to speak to the manager and he said " I AM THE MANAGER " and I was the one who told you to have a good life! We wanted to confirm he credited us for the Pizza we didn't get. We checked the bank account and we have not been credited yet. Our opinion, we used to LOVE SAMMY's a year ago and would meet with our grown children and grandchild at Sammy's as well as order online monthly. This has not been the case lately because we feel the value for the price doesn't match the quality. The pizza used to be better, and something has changed, not sure what it is, but the manager needs lessons on customer service. He should have apologized for the delivery delay and said the Pizza was on them, NO CHARGE and that he valued our business. He chose to hang up! He lost a customer and bad news travels faster than good news. We hope Sammy's can recover from their short comings as we are going to look for another Pizza Delivery company that values their customers. For now, we are not using Sammy's, perhaps in the future if we hear of positive changes.
Very rude manager. Couldn’t care less that we hadn’t received our pizza after 2 hours. Overpriced too. Don’t ever order from this crappy business
We love Sammy’s. The pizza is delicious, and they often have deals. They are consistent, informed about what meets our dietary needs, with great customer service. Their delivery was prompt, genuine, and we are happy to support them!
Ordered a couple pizzas and two orders of breadsticks for the Super Bowl. Told them I wanted my order at noon.Easy setup, and it was ready by the time I got there.This review for the Sammy's Pizza on North I.I like them.
I went in there this afternoon to eat dinner because I have been craving some good pizza(I’m pregnant), and my husband recommended this place. After waiting almost 45 minutes for part of our order to come out I was getting pretty upset. But they seemed kinda busy so I just shrugged it off. After our whole order came out I got my pizza. I had gotten a small pizza and it was burnt. So I took it back up to the workers and asked them to make me a new one since they had burned mine and after REFUSING to make me a new pizza I was already pretty ticked off. I was starving and pregnant and felt very nauseous because I was hungry. Them refusing to correct my order they messed up just set me off. They only offered a refund. I got part of the refund for my pizza. I have never been to a restaurant and got denied for them to correct my order they messed up. I was willing to wait for a new pizza. I would honestly rate this place 0 stars but it doesn’t give me that option. Horrible place.
We just moved to Tacoma a few months ago, and Sammy’s quickly became our favorite. The service is always top notch and the pizza is delicious. We’re so glad we found our go to takeout place!
