I can't count the number of lunches I've had with clients and colleagues at Royal Thai! This is one of my favorite places in Fircrest (and really all of Tacoma) for a working lunch date. They're so quick and friendly- but the food is CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT. They have a fantastic lunch special where you can get curry AND pad thai which is awesome because who wants to choose? Love Royal Thai.
Today was my first time eating here, but definitely won't be the last. When I first got there the menue seemed a little pricey, but I can assure you it's worth it. My food was fairly quick and perfectly cooked. We ordered Mongolian beef, chicken Pad Thai and spicy garlic fried chicken. I tried every dish and each one as good as the next. Flavor and spice levels both on point. I did have to send a couple of dirty plates back but they quickly brought clean plates over. Staff were friendly and pretty attentive. Overall good experience and looking forward to visiting again.
This place has delicious food at reasonable rates. The staff is very attentive and the atmosphere fits the cuisine well.
This was our first visit to Royal Thai Bistro, but definitely won't be our last. We ordered Panang curry with chicken, honey chicken with walnuts, and fresh rolls. All of it was delicious with enough leftovers for dinner tomorrow.
Was there last sunday. We ordered thru phone and went to pick it up. They messed up one of our order but i didnt mind and just took it. Bill was 62.48 and i left 0 dollar tip. I checked my bank account later, they charged me for 70.48. I dont know what’s going on here but good thing i kept my receipt. I called them to talk to manager today and they said they will call me back when manager comes in. I’m regular here but after what happened i don’ t think i will be back anymore. I’ll update when i hear back from them.Update: i talked to manager and he admits that they made a mistake and will refunds those 8 dollars back. But i just noticed that reply on this review from store is very unprofessional. i dont know if its real owner that replied but with that attitudes towards customer.. you will lose lots of customers.
Ordered a spicy pad Thai, not very spicy and has minimal flavor. Not horrible but don’t recommend. Broccoli beef was okay.
Very good! Nothing extraordinary but solid. Would definitely come back. Great service!
I have been to many different Thai restaurants. I tried this place today , the food suits me . like so much . I will come back to enjoy more
Wanted to like this place, first time ordering takeout tonight, but sadly we were very disappointed. The pad see ew was very bland and extremely oily. The pad Thai was very sour and smelled bad. It didn’t taste anything like an authentic pad Thai at all, very strange version of it. My husbands pad kee mao was bland and had no sauce, that’s how he described it. We eat Thai weekly from different places and have been for the past 10 years so we’re very familiar with Thai food and the different variations from different restaurants. This was definitely some of the worst we have had. I gave an extra star for the man on the phone who took my order because he was polite and professional and thorough.
Have been here twice for takeout. Ya gotta wonder when the won ton for the soup is nothing more than premade pot stickers. Food is pretty greasy. The taste is ok, but this is not a place to experience a thai menu. To be fair, you'd be hard prssed to find truly authentic thai but this is a fact of almost all ethnic diners...they're all 'Americanzied'. Sadly, this place just reminds me of all the run-of-mill Chinese restaurants I was drug to as a child by my parents when they had a hankerin' for 'ethnic food'. I grew up hating asian food until in my late 20s when I actually experienced good cooking.
