I hate to give this kind of review, as I've had great pizza, breakfast and drinks from the Puget Sound Pizza on 7th in downtown Tacoma. This has been one of the worst pizzas I've had in years. I'll give them credit for using decent ingredients. But with only the toppings being decent on the pizza, it can't carry the pizza and any seasoning in the pizza sauce was not evenly distributed. The crust was terrible. It has a flat flavor profile in that they dough tasted like it was left over dough from a couple days, had no rise in it and it was burnt on the bottom and top and the middle was chewy and tasted like it wasn't cooked or they turned the oven up too high and the pizza just needed more time. I'm not really sure, but it tasted like a home made pizza where someone didn't know what they were doing. The real problem is that a large 32 dollar pizza minus tip and tax at this level of preparation is really terrible. I can't recommend this place to anyone other than the happy hour pricing and lunch specials are nice from what I saw, the building is beautiful and had a nice ambiance and the beers selection is decent as well. Mixed drink wasn't bad, poured an ok shot, so I can't complain there. Nothing stiff though. It makes me sad, as I want this to be a place I can come back to again. The potential is there.
Yummy food Waitress very friendly
Super cute aesthetically, love the design of the building. Upon arrival the waitress needed to put together tables as we were a group of 8. Was a little caught off by the fact that they needed to sweep during this process but even more than that was the amount of dirt being kicked up and the large mound of dirt that was removed from the floor. Upen being brought to our table the booth seat was clearly dirty. You could visibly see crumbs, powdery dirt and several pieces of hair. We were near a station for napkins, etc so I walked over & grabbed some napkins & proceeded to wipe down the booth. Was shocked to see not only dirt but the napkin turned more & more black with every swipe. Once we finally got comfortable with the thought of sitting it was apparent that even after the sweep the floor was still significantly dirty. I am not sure if this is a new build or what the situation is but it looked sufficient enough to be recently constructed/remodelled and the clean up was maybe not done however the booth had brush lines like maybe someone had tried to repaint it.... I am truly unsure. Over the waitress was very friendly and attentive. As more people slowly trickled in. It became apparent that she was covering the tables alone. Food wise, I would say you can tell effort was put to try to make the food good but we did need to add salt to the pizza... one thing that was delicious without question was the marinara sauce! They should start using that as the base on the pizza because I think it would have saved it. Lemonade had a strange taste it but after a few desperate sips by the kids they accepted it without complaints after about 10 sips. Also, we did not receive an itemized receipt. Only a total with an 18% gratuity noted automatically. I understand we were a large group, many of us have been servers & this is often standard practice but an itemized ticket should always be presented. Overall I would not return to this location.
Pizza was really good. Online ordering was easy. Fast service, only 20-25 minutes for the pizza to be ready for pickup. Got the pizza of the month the big dill pizza and it was surprisingly awesome the beast meat lovers pizza was great as well.
Good selection of pizza. Crust had a good chew to it. Fair ratio of toppings on the pie. Cheese balls were good. Good assortment of flavors. Will be going back.
Got their deep dish pepperoni loves dont recommend it at all. Dough was rock hard. It was super small an not DEEP dish at all. Tasted like it was dipped in old fryer grease. I would say it was the same size as a mod pizza but was $20. Such a waste of money. I dont think they know what deep dish pizza is
Pizza was good.... A little pricey..... Customer service was terrible and we were the only ones in there. We listened to the waitress and cook talk about a pluthera of topics... Had to go up to ask for our check and to go boxes..... One good thing ,they do have a full bar.
Great pizza, love the quality and flavor of everything. My only complaint for this restaurant is that the Macaroni and Cheese Pizza isn't a permanent feature on the menu ? if you see it listed as the pizza of the month....buy 2
Absolutely the best pizza in town! Great place to eat at fun atmosphere a little pricy but I think it's worth it for sure!
