Update: My daughter went back to this restaurant and she said it was a much better experience. She said the food was great and so was the service this time around. Thank you for rectifying the situation.I did not enjoy this restaurant. The people were nice and friendly but the service was horrible. They never refilled our water glasses not even once or came to check if everything was okay. Never brought the sugar we requested for our tea and it took a long time for our food to come out. We were basically ignored for more important guests that they were catering to in their "Tea Room" and it was my daughter's birthday.
Awesome restaurant!Went there on a Friday, the restaurant wasn’t busy so we got seated right away. Authentic ambiance with tatami rooms for private seating for bigger groups. We ordered the agedashi tofu, takoyaki, Mt. Fuji roll, pork katsu don, and tonkatsu bento. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly in big servings. The servers are very thoughtful and kind. Couldn’t be more happy with the experience! Definitely going back again.
The staff treated me great, the rainbow roll was amazing and it's not expensive. Really a great value for the quailty they bring. Atmosphere is great, the music they had playing just made it a very peaceful and memorable experience
Sorry the picture is not worthy. That’s just part of a rainbow roll,I forgot to take pictures. Our food was excellent & I saw some great looking plates going to other tables. We were long time customers of Kabuki and then randomly visited as the space changed from one owner to another. This is by far the best since Kabuki. We will be back soon!
I got recommended by a local Japanese friend to check out this place for Takoyaki. Both takoyaki and vegetable tempura are both great here. You can tell that that they freshly cook these appetizers to order. I ordered Rainbow Roll - The fish was fresh. The sushi rice cooked just right and well seasoned. The miso soup was flavorful. The service was excellent. I’ll definitely go back to this place again.
I've dined in and ordered to go from them 4 times, I gotta say this is now my to-go for sushi. The atmosphere is amazing. There's no dumb pop music playing or loud games on the TV, solely ambient music and muted TV. The interior is very Japanese designed and makes for a very comfy dine in experience. The food is amazing as well. I've had most of their sushi rolls: the portions are very large and well worth the money. Their fish quality is average or above average depending on the fish (tuna/salmon is excellent, while the Saba was below average, which I understand because it's not a popular item). Their ice cream and tea are sooooo good. Their oolong tea is genuine leaf and not from a teabag. The miso soup is also very good. Side fruits and veggies are fresh. If you order to-go, they never skimp out on portions!!! Which I love ALOT because it's so common for places to give you so little when taking out.I have been there when its super busy and the wait times are long on those days. But I completely understand because there's only 2 waiters that I have seen. Both of them do really good, even when flustered with orders and people.
Delicious. Super friendly staff. Relaxing atmosphere. A new go-to for a chill date night.
I tried this restaurant tonight for takeout for the first time! But if I were with a group I would have loved to try the Tatami rooms. The decor was visually beautiful and I wished I wasn’t getting takeout. I saw the sign advertising Sunday sushi ? happy hour from 2-5 pm. I will be going to try the happy hour selections.Check out my posted elegant takeout pic showing the chef’s choice sushi bento box. What a nice selection of pickles and fruits to accent the meal I paid approximately $33? Including tax and 15% tip for the take out. The staff was very attentive and offered me a pot of hot tea as I waited for my order. The food was delicious and I received grilled chicken & asparagus yakatori with a piece of grilled salmon cooked perfectly, not over cooked which I despise and 3-4 pieces of sushi I ate them quickly and I can’t remember the number of pieces. The salmon was soft and tender seasoned perfectly. I hadleftovers and I will enjoy them tomorrow. It was well worth the money.Stacy
I made a order .. omg now they have a customer for life.. the rolls are big. Did I say big .huge .. in comparison to trappers, trappers have nothing on this place trapper's sushi rolls are very very tiny compared to this place.and so good to eat.
Some of the best Katsu I’ve ever had! The breading is super light and crispy, not greasy tasting at all.The curry was also a great accompaniment; I’m not typically the biggest Japanese curry fan but their’s exceeded expectations.Of the rolls we’ve tried, all have been tasty as well. The eel is definitely recommend, the unagi is super soft and delicate, and the pieces are giant.Highly recommend - their happy hour prices on Sunday (might be other days as well) afternoon are a great value as well.
