We were really disappointed in the food. We've dined here before many times. Thie maine lobster didn't have much flavor and the salmon was poached which made it a bit soggy. For the price, we were disappointed. The service was outstanding though, our waitress was great.

Both my husband and and I thought this was definitely worth the drive. Parking was tricky, but we figured it out. We ate outside by the water and that was perfect. It was a little spending, but you do need to treat yourself now and then.
We used to go to Lobster Shop when it was located on Browns Point in Tacoma. We went a few times for our anniversary dinners in the earlier years. It is our 25th wedding anniversary so we thought we'd check out the Lobster Shop on Ruston Way in Tacoma, hoping for a great time like before. I was so disappointed, the table was great on the deck, but I had asked for rose petals on the table on our special requests, due to our anniversary, but there weren't any. We hardly ever saw our server, Vanessa. And people who were seated long after us were getting their meals, our server was MIA for a while so we couldn't ask where our food was. We ordered our dinner at 5:01, according to our receipt, but didn't get our meal until 5:50. Yes, the bread with pesto dipping sauce was very good, but we wanted our dinner! When we did get it, it wasn't as great as it used to be. The location was fine, but we won't be back. So disappointing!
Wonderful service and ambiance, as always, but I was disappointed in the quality of the fish in the fish and chips we ordered. I am OK with using cod instead of halibut, but I would expect thicker, nicer, fresh cuts of fish from the lobster shop. In addition, I would prefer batter over the breading. Unfortunately, I have noticed a change in quality since the new owners took over.
