Definitely worth visiting, make sure to make a reservation cause it’s a very popular place.Nice place to have some French brunch on Saturday with bay view and outdoor seating.Polite, quick and profesh staff! Thanks!

My wife and I went for an anniversary dinner. Our table was in the bar area, which was fine. The New York steak with green pepper sauce was divine. I got it with the risotto instead of mashed potatoes. It came with asparagus. The halibut with lemon beurre blanc sauce was excellent. As was the risotto. Unfortunately, some of the carrots were overdone. The salmon mousse was very good. Next time we with get the brie in pastry appetizer. Cheesecake with ice cream and a sliced strawberry was an excellent way to end the menu.

Met two dear friends from Seattle-they needed outdoor seating so we came to Le Sel Bistro. It's advertised as French themed with locally sourced food. The outdoor seating was actually quite nice, with a view looking out over the water. The food, on the other hand, was underwhelming. Nothing reallywas authentically French. I had the French onion soup, not the best. And the foraged mushroom risotto, not really very interesting. One friend had the sockeye salmon, about 1/3 lb smallish piece, overcooked, and $32. The other had the pork chop which was WELL done. On the ice cream sundae for dessert they forgot the candied hazelnuts, and the ice cream per se was a little icy. Over all, I would not return.

This is my first visit here. They were able to accommodate two of us without reservation which was great! I had a breakfast sandwich with pork belly, I really enjoyed the blend of simple flavors if egg, porkbelly and tomatoes. Side of flavorful potatoes was amazing as well. I also tried Lavender Lemonade (Gin based) very refreshing and perfect for sunny day.

oh so good! I want to come back to try everything! Had the lavender lemonade. We sat indoors. Reservations highly recommended even midday Friday. A nice covered outdoor eating area with a view. I had the Brussel sprouts, bacon and a poached egg with balsamic reduction. It was so flavorful! I highly recommend. Very cute interior and really friendly and attentive wait staff.

We had brunch here last month and was not impressed, especially after finally getting reservations since it seems hard to get in.We were sat inside, kind of in the hallway which was awkward. It was hard to get the attention of our waitress(also acting as bartender), so when another server walked by with empty hands not in a rush, I tried to get his attention.... I said sir, sir! And had my hand up and made eye contact- and nothing. He kept walking by... so between the lack luster ambiance and staff dazed out, not sure if I will be giving this place another try for Brunch. Maybe dinner is different? My steak Benedict was not very hot temp wise and the hollindaise sauce was starting to harden so I know it sat waiting to be served. Their bloody Mary was good but the garnish is so large it takes away from the actual drink. My husband wanted another beer after his meal but we could never track down anyone. For what they are charging, I feel they need to step up their service and food. You can see my English muffin was pretty badly burnt so yea-$30 Steak Benedict= yuck

Great eggs benedict and bloody Mary. Super creative brunch foods like the lamb chops, grits, and egg. Perfect cappuccino. Nice ambience in the garden area. Friendly staff. Would definitely go back and try the dinner sometime.

This is such a gem in Tacoma. It's a small French bistro and they have also an outside covered patio with a view of the water. They have warm heaters and blankets (on the chairs) but we didn't need the blankets. I had their scrumptious brioche French toast made with caramelized bananas, hazelnuts, & mascarpone sauce. It was wickedly good. My friend had the local foraged mushroom omelet and it was tasty as well. I can't wait to come back and try more items. You must make reservations as this is a popular spot!

A really nice experience. Very friendly service. We sat on patio which was heated very well. We had lamb with grits and the French toast. Both were delicious but the French toast was amazing! I definitely will recommend this bistro to other people.

Thoroughly impressed with the ambiance, food quality and service! Highly recommend the Farmers Bloody Mary with the house pickle vodka and pork belly! My first time having pork belly and I can't imagine it gets any better than this! Incredible! Also a first for us.. the Bacon Bourbon Bloody Mary! Yup! Winner there too!! The Jambon De Paris Omelet... We don't know if we can order anything else now! Although we are already excited for next time! Perhaps the Mushroom Medley?? And for sure the Pork Belly Benedict!!
