It's a very interesting, cool space. Being required to order everything a la carte at the bar, while wait staff are working the floor is pretty weird. Wait staff are really friendly, but the kitchen was EXTREMELY slow. The family seated next to us received their food after we did, and they were there before us. Fun cocktails, good food. We'll just likely be back.

Amazing food and drink menu, go out of way to make non vegan drinks vegan, as well as having food fantastic food options for vegan and meat eaters. Fantastic staff, very friendly and attentive, remembered us after first visit. Great atmosphere, makes date nights special and great brunch, looks fancy but feel welcoming. Plus music always on point!Once you try it, you will keep coming back!
This place has totally transformed since it was The Copper Door. Lush, European-style interior with lots of texture and warmth.The service was wonderful (order at the bar, but everything comes out to you), and the food was superb!I'm always on the hunt for life-changing brunch, and this was it. Trying to decide on what to get was a challenge...so many delicious options!We will definitely return soon. So many more things to try! Especially that drink menu - oh man!!

Great food, awesome atmosphere, the servers were friendly and accommodating. The owner is not only friendly, but actually works with his staff and talks to customers rather than sitting in an office all day. Absolutely loved everything and will definitely be back again! Checking out Devil's Reef on Thursday! (owned by the same guy).
Hidden Jen for the weekend. Last time kitchen wasn't open yet so we ate elsewhere. Now open and we heard good things. If gin is your thing. Very well crafted drinks. Plus more. Well worth a shot. Figurativly.
Best Brunch in Tacoma. So much attention to detail from the decor, ingredients in the drinks and food! There's no words for the biscuits, flaky, moist perfect density... The owner gifted me and my partner an giant cinnamon roll as we were leaving to thank us for stopping by. You don't find places like this everyday. It's a absolute experience. Thank you for all you do!
Love the Gilman house. Of course it’s easy to love a place when you live across the street and the food is sooooo good. And the drinks are soooo good. And the best part? Amara, Jacob, Robyn, and Jason. The people who run this place are lovely and provide a cozy relaxed and friendly space. Love the Gilman house!
Really cute place with what felt like a nod to the 1920s and old monster books like 20,000 leagues. The food was amazing and one of the few places in town with a huge vegetarian menu. My partner and I don’t usually drink gin but will be trying it again because the recommended drinks we had per the bartender we spoke to there were some of the best we’ve ever had. Service was amazing everyone was very nice and checked in a lot. We went for brunch and will definitely be trying dinner in the future!
