Got carryout and all I could taste was beans in my burrito. They put way too much beans and not enough of the rest. Also they charge $2.75 for the tiniest bit of guac that didn’t even look or taste fresh. Got the jamaica drink which tasted good but it was gone in like 5 sips because they fill the entire cup with ice. Wont be coming back. Not worth it, especially for it being overpriced.

This a great easy vegan spot in a convenient location. I love the chips and salsa, they have a mini fridge full of delectable salsas. I like their nachos and their bowls, especially the bowl with the tofu shrimp. They offer fantastic happy hour nibbles. The food is fresh and the staff are friendly and attentive. Fast service. The space is nice and open too. They really know how to prepare fast, inexpensive, cravable vegan yummy mexican and that’s pretty exciting.

Really great food. I'm a meat eater and absolutely enjoyed the food here. Although to be fair. I've never been a picky eater. I eat anything and everything. So going to places that might not serve meat wouldn't bother me, I'll always find something I can eat. But that being said you won't be disappointed with the food either way. I think it will fit anyone's pallet. Try it out! ???

They're back and better than ever. Same excellent array of beverages with 100% plant based food. Whether vegan or not get your nosh on !!!!

sustainable reviewer here. I love that we have a plant-based restaurant in the neighborhood. The chips are crispy and thin, the salsa has chunks of pepper in it - ?️ and the guacamole is fresh. We got our order to go and just about everything was in paper or compostable plastic. The only downside: everything came in a plastic bag. When we asked if they had paper bags, they said no. Seems an awful lot of trouble to create paper boxes but then have it all wrapped up in plastic.

I really wanted to like the updated El Borracho. It used to be one of my favorite spots for happy hour but I was seriously disappointed. The only reason it gets two stars is the bartender was really great. The el cheapo margarita used to be good but tasted so much like sweet and sour mix I could barely finish it. I have a soy allergy so most of the menu was unavailable to me. But I did get a shortie and it tasted like a frozen burrito or something I could’ve thrown together at home. The food either had no flavor or was overly spicy and not in a pleasurable way. The order online meant no interaction with any servers and they seemed really understaffed. The staff interactions used to be great before the changes. It was also odd that the bar bill and the food bill had to be separate. You’re better off trying another place.

Great food and atmosphere. Owners are super friendly!

The guacamole rocks! This place is vegan and the food is delicious!

Not too thrilled about establishments that appropriate cultures for a buck, yet if you do, please do justice- at least your not another taco bell. I'm still mixed with this franchise, each restaurant isn't consistent with authenticity or taste.Stay tuned for my authentic white food restaurant called white cracker, let's say I'm not a fan of the restaurant name and how it portrays stereotypes.

My favorite spot in Washington. Love the vibe, love the cocktails and the food is incredible. A really fun spot to go with friends.
