Dystopian State Brewing Co. has a lot of potential. The space is nice and large, and the windows were open when a group of us went. It had just opened for the day, so it wasn’t too busy. The bartender was friendly and gave us a couple of recommendations when we asked. The beer was pretty decent. This place seems to advertise itself as a place to come hangout and play board games, and they do have a great selection of games, as shown in one of my photos. The games also seem to be in good condition. We brought our own game to play. One thing was that the tables seemed to be kind of sticky, and it didn’t get better when we tried to wipe it with wet napkins. We tried a couple of the tables but they all had the same problem. We didn’t want our board and cards to stick or get damaged, so we went over to the board game table at one end of the establishment, which was better, but it could have used a good vacuuming. We didn’t want to go to the other tables closer to the center of the place because the music was very loud, and it would have been difficult to hear each other while playing games. Overall, it’s a decent place with decent beers and lots of potential for games and hanging out, but could maybe use a lowering of volume on sound, and a good cleaning of the tables.
Great bar and microbrewery. Excellent service, incredible selection heavy on IPA. Nice venue
Great beer, friendly staff and an a-maz-ing open space in a repurposed auto dealership, has to be seen to be believed. A great place to hang out...
Friendly staff in here on a very quiet night. Good brews. Would have liked if there was more than the slight snacky food available but we sure enjoyed our IPAs. Really gorgeous premises in a repurposed industrial space with a nice harbour view.
Good beers and selection. Really cool place inside. A lot bigger than you’d think! And nice views.
The four beers I tried were excellent. The 2 Belgian beers had the correct clovey notes. The doppelbock had wonderful dark toffee notes. The strong beers were not heavy or in other words not overly sweet. This was my first hazy cold ipa. It was dry and nicely hopped, a big plus for me.
Stopped in to grab some beer to go. The bartender was super nice and helpful. I was impressed with the range of beer options and enjoyed the few I sampled. Looked like a cool venue, so definitely will be stopping by again soon.
I cannot recommend Dystopian brewing enough! We held our reception there, and Dystopian delivered! The space is gorgeous, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the wide selection of beers makes for an amazing space to hold an event.
My husband and I are new to the area and decided to try this brewery. We drive 1 hour because it was advertised as to close at 11PM and when we walked in at 9:50Pm they said they were closed already. :/Maybe next time we can give it a try.....
