Great birthday dinner on the deck. Friendly service, delicious food and beautiful views! We had the dingy clam chowder, halibut quesadilla, cod fish n chips and macadamia encrusted halibut - all wonderful. Ended with a decadent Pier Pie!

This was a birthday lunch for myself and my husband. We had two other family members with us. We were seated on the deck in full shade as it was a very warm day. Andie our server was absolutely wonderful! She tended to our needs but wasnât hovering. The food was top quality as usual!
It was our birthday and anniversary celebration! Couldnât have been better. No doubt the best fish taco anywhere to be found. The service was excellent as well. Perfect in every way!
You can't go wrong with Duke's on Ruston Way! The food is always excellent and nicely presented. The service is top notch. Wade is our favorite waiter! He's got a great personality and always goes above and beyond to make sure his customers have a great time and a superb dining experience. I do miss the "I Hear the call of the Ocean"(?) salad and wish Duke would consider putting it back on the menu -- the dressing was wonderful! As for value for the money... well, the menu prices do seem to get higher and higher everytime I go there (at least 3 or 4 times a year). I realize it happens everywhere, though. For me, Duke's is a case of, "I'll go ahead and pay more if the food and service continue to be excellent."
Overall, the food was great. Service was a little rocky at times but it was in the middle of the dinner rush. The one thing that stood out was the flies. There seemed to flies humming in several areas of the restaurant. While none of them landed on our food, it did ruin the ambiance.
Everything about Dukes Seafood in Tacoma was OUTSTANDING!!! We were blown away by the service, very attentive and polite. They are there for you! Food, very fresh and VERY TASTY! I really can't say enough about Dukes Seafood in Tacoma!
The food was really good, so was the service, it always is, but I was surprised at the prices...they've really gone up! A friend and I have been celebrating our birthdays for some 30 yrs by going out to lunch. $70 for my lunch (salmon salad, 1 glass of wine) and 2 desserts seems crazy expensive! But, we like Dukes, being on the waterfront, and the food is great...so I guess we're just gonna have to pay the price.
