I really wanted to love this place based on all the reviews I have heard from others .... however I honestly just couldn't.We were there recently on a busy weekend. Our server was very nice - but other than that, she was very slow - painfully slow. The "plate of clams" had at least 5 or 6 clams that were just empty shells and nothing in them - total disappointment. All of our dishes were underwhelming and the prices were high. Well drinks - $9?Maybe we'll try again in the future (?):(
The food has been just ok each time I have been there. However, even if it was stellar nothing could convince me to visit an establishment who demanded my private health records. Tacoma is a big city with lots of options, this is no longer one for me.
Delicious night out for Tacoma restaurant week! Wonderfully portioned food, great cocktails, and also a great wine recommendation to pair with dinner from our waiter. Gnocchi was on point and so was everything else! Will definitely be returning. Edit: beware the upstairs bathroom. I definitely almost locked myself in (without my phone), can you imagine the panic? Also warned my partner after I escaped and she also almost locked herself in anyway. Make sure you have strong hands and/or throw the lock as little as possible. There's also a downstairs bathroom, but we didn't try that one out ?
Went for the prix fixe menu as part of Tacoma Restaurant Week. The tuna tartar and smoked halibut carpaccio were fantastic. The halibut with pesto was slightly better than the gnocchi mare giallo. The chocolate torte and coconut ice cream were excellent.
Our first time here was really nice! We will definitely come back again. Nothing to complain about. We sat inside and loved how cozy the restaurant felt inside a house. Dishes from oyster shooters, appetizers, entrees and desserts were all enjoyable! Service was attentive. Great evening!
Hands down one of THE BEST meals I've had in ages!! Authentic Italian style cusine! Went for Tacoma's restaurant week to support our local small businesses! GO! You won't be disappointed! And the service was amazing as well, Fabio was the best!
Wow amazing Italian food. Had the ravioli and veal. Really good
A mixed bag. I really enjoyed the salad we had with cara cara oranges, arugula, and burrata. I thought my dates italian-style old fashioned was also tasty. I found the "soft baguette" kind of reminiscent of cheesecake factory lol. I think something more traditional or crusty like ciabtta or a sourdough might work better, or at least appeal to me more. My entree was underwhelming- a little too salty and felt like it was missing something. Big portions though. I took my leftovers home.
Amazing seafood frito misto with dipping sauce. Excellent service and cozy surroundings!
