I used to live across the street from Connie's. She smells the neighborhood up wonderfully in the very early morning. Yummy! The apple fritters are the BEST I've ever had. The maple bars are wonderful too. The filling for the chocolate creme/Boston creme filled is so light and satisfying. Not frosting or butteryish. Just goodness. Thanks Connie! This is EXACTLY what I was looking for in a donut shop! Cake and old fashioned donuts, but they step it up with flavors I've never seen! Strawberry iced varieties of old fashioned or chocolate cake, whaaaaat?! The flavors are next level, and the cake on some of these is super soft. Cinnamon cake donut... so good! My dozen even had a surprise in it, maybe since it was my first visit. Worth the toll bridge pilgrimage from Gig Harbor.

Great flavor. Would I be able to say it's the best in the area?, That all depends on how fresh they are. Mine were fresh, but not as fresh as some of the Mexican style pastry shops around our area, but as far as American style donuts, you'd be splitting hairs trying to determine the best around given any day. Go see the other listed "best"donuts comparison reviews for this vs any number of other places. I didn't find these overly sweet. That is a plus right there. Opened about 15 minutes late. Prices are extremely reasonable.
The best donuts in east side! I love this place. I can hardly ever branch out from maple bars because they are already perfection but when I do I’m not disappointed. The owner is so kind, hardworking, and friendly. Highly recommend this place!
Baked fresh daily by the talented Chenda and family. My 13 yo son raves about the perfectly rich chocolate bars. He has even dabbled at making donuts, he is that inspired!And my littles? They delight in the sprinkled cake donuts of every flavor. She mixes a mean hazelnut steamed milk! Get there early tho cause once the inventory is sold (often before noon) she closes up till the next fresh batch is ready... the next day!
A doughnut is usually a doughnut. Like pizza, even when it's bad, it's still pretty good. That being said, these doughnuts are a pretty big step up from your usual Safeway deli disappointments. They have a much flutter dough that makes them taste fresher. The toppings are all to notch. I'm pretty sure they fry them a little longer so the outside gets a little more crust on them. All this adds up to a doughnut that is a cut above your usually morning meeting monotony. Also add the trend goes, bacon doughnuts.
The raspberry krispies (and everything else) are so delicious! I have seen bacon covered maple bars before too those were excellent.
Modest little donut joint with good coffee and espresso. Good variety of donuts, made fresh daily. Non-dairy milk options for lattes.
