Amazing place!Bartenders let you try new tequila’s as 818 and Teramana. I didn’t know these smooth Tequilas ever existed. Highly recommend.Hamburger was so good…Will comeback soon for sure…This place is amazing for a date or nice evening get away…
What flavorful and exquisite shareables and drinks! We kept it light this time, but will be back for the bigger entrees and dessert in the future:). The ambiance was great - there were two available rooms, one dimmer with a speakeasy vibe, and one lighter with an old timely classy diner vibe (this is where we sat). Definitely recommend!
Best Cocktail Bar in Tacoma by far!!! Amazing food. Attention to detail is incredible. We celebrated a birthday and they went above and beyond!!! The customer service is exceptional!!! The bartenders are so attentive and the cocktails are everything you would want!! It's like being transformed into a speakeasy of the good old days.... highly recommend you check this place out!!!! The smoky old fashioned, the empress...best drinks I have ever had!!!!!
Highly highly recommend this spot. The ambiance is my idea of perfection for a date night, drinks with friends, and/or just a spot at the bar. They have a great cocktail menu. The Empress cocktail was just delightful. The food was delicious. Everyone in our group loved it. We all plan to return. This is a don't miss kinda place!!!
TOTAL LET DOWN! This is a funky place with a really neat atmosphere and style. After making reservations the day before, my party and I showed up to a waiting table. However, that's where the accolade stop for the boom boom room. After being seated we had to ask for menus our server was not knowledgeable about any item on the menu and did not even know what beer they had on tap. After ordering we waited on our food where it came out in multiple stages. Some of our party ordered additional drinks and they never came. Then when it came time to split our check our server had no idea how to do this and had to request additional help. I understand that service workers are hard to come by at this time. However, if your staff is not trained they should have a person there to assist them, inexperienced staff is no excuse for a lack of customer service and customer experience. This place could be really great however, it was the lack of professional service that really ultimately negatively affected the experience of the boom boom room.
Eric and Payton made our visit to the Boom Boom Room unforgettable. Not only did I enjoy the best martini I’ve ever had (make sure you take Payton’s recommendation and order the Gunpowder Gin), but the food was delectable. We started with the Formosa Roll and enjoyed the shrimp tacos and steak. The Formosa Roll was savory and spicy, the shrimp were perfectly cooked for the tacos and the steak came with potato spirals that I didn’t know I needed in my life, but absolutely do! A true gem of Tacoma, bravo Eric and team!
The vibe really saved this place, I enjoyed the old school music and the red room glow. There were two full tables, two people at the bar fully staffed and it still took almost 15min for someone to ask for our order. However when two groups came in after us they had their drinks and food in 12min. That was disappointing. The drinks were delicious, but over priced. The food looked nice, but was soggy.
This spot is my go to place for amazing drinks and atmosphere. They recently accommodated a group of my friends to celebrate 3 birthdays. I had to share the gem with them all. I felt compelled to leave a review, even though I have been here many times. The entire staff is great. It is truly part of the of the experience, so kudos to all of them. I have tried every drink on the menu and none of them disappoint. Their food is good too! I was there twice this week and both groups I brought were so impressed. That should tell you something. Hands down, it’s my favorite place to go. Also, I am so glad they have added the Sinatra room which provides more seating and a vibe worthy of it’s name.
What a wonderful experience. Both bartenders were so sweet and extremely smart on all different aspects of alcohol. They can tellYou what works best with gin, rum, tequila, vodka…anything you want they can create something amazing. Please go check out the Boom Boom Room. They are very knowledgeable on all liquors, wines, and beer and can create a magical drink that you are looking for. Very friendly staff and sexy, sultry atmosphere for an intimate first date to a girlsnight n or guys night. Check it out for yourself….feel the vibes and have a good time.
Absolutely amazing establishment!!! It has a great feel to it!! Totally mid century and There applewood smoked old fashioned is to die for and you will enjoy the quality service as well as the innovative tapas. Enjoy a fun night of food and drinks at one of the coolest new places on 6th! 5 out of 5 stars!
