Smokehouse burger us my favorite
We got the prime rib sandwich and the fish tacos.. clam chowder side with both. All of it was exceptional! So delicious! We are from out of town so this was a nice gem to experience. You get a cool view and every staff member we interacted with were friendly and polite. We would go again if we didn't live across the country! I can't comment on the prices, really, I think everything is a little more expensive out here than in Ohio but the prices are manageable and worth what you get. Definitely go here.
Pretty much everything here is delicious and the service is friendly and personable. Hubs took me here after a stressful day so we sat outside to watch the boats come and go with drinks. Don't miss the cheese curds and their salads: I had the Caesar with steelhead, and hubs got the ahi tuna poke salad, which was not sweet and quite tasty (if you like raw fish and sesame oil). There is ample space on their deck, but we like the narrow spot that hugs the restaurant because you hear the train (right next to the restaurant) far less. They tend not to use much plastic, even for the cheese curd sauce.
Such a flavorful lunch, and with fantastic views and customer service! The tomato soup didn’t compare to some of the other Anthony’s restaurants, but the clam chowder was delicious! The po boy was hearty and came with the best fries, perfect for dipping in the artichoke crab dip alongside the baguette it came with. The spiked salted caramel shake was definitely the star of the show;)
Great staff great food great views
After reading the last review made (last year), I nearly changed my mind about going to Boathouse 19 today. But, I am certainly glad I didn't allow one bad review make the decision for me. My wife and I met our granddaughter and our 9 month old great-grandson there for lunch today. We were warmly greeted as we entered and, taken immediately to a window table with a great view of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and the South Puget Sound...(and I should mention that the restaurant had a good lunch crowd already seated!). After seating us, the young lady who seated us immediately brought us water (and the glasses were kept full throughout our lunch) and menus. Shortly thereafter, our "server", Jasna, appeared and took our orders...I ordered the "Bacon Burger with fries" and both my wife and Granddaughter ordered the "N'Orleans Shrimp Po- Boy with fries. Jasna was absolutely a joy as she "hustled up" our orders while "chatting" with our great-grandson. Our orders arrived in very short order and everything looked delicious...but looks can be deceiving. In this case, the looks were not deceiving and everything was both hot and as delicious as it appeared. Even our nine-month-old great-grandson (who already has a mouth of teeth) enjoyed a few bites of the french fries and a bit of my hamburger. Jasna returned to our table shortly after we had time to taste everything, just to ensure it was as we had expected, then gave us ample "private" time for us to finish our lunches. She returned to clear away our dishes, asked if we had room for dessert (we didn't) then returned promptly with the check. It simply couldn't have been any better in my opinion, and we will certainly add the Boathouse 19 to our list of favorite restaurants to visit whenever we are in the University Place area. All I can think of for the reasons for any of the less than positive previous reviews last year and the year before, had to be because of the Covid protocols and possible staffing shortages. But again, we could not have been more pleased with our lunch, the excellent service, and the cleanliness of ....and I hope that after this review, I will still be able to find seating the next time we visit Boathouse 19
Highly recommend! The service was amazing & the food was so delicious!Shoutout to Lex for being so friendly and sweet. It truly made me feel so relaxed and happy. The location is actually perfect for all of you who love sunsets. My husband and I will definitely be back very soon.Thank you! ♥️
We had a wonderful lunch at Boathouse 19 (recently purchased by Anthony's). Everyone enjoyed their meal! The fish n chips were delicious and their tarter was amazing!! May have to come back just for the tartar sauce! (Dill pickle tarter with a hint of horseradish!!) Triple chocolate old fashion milkshake did not disappoint. Other things we enjoyed were the mahi-mahi tacos and the clam chowder. Then the cherry on the top was the peanut butter pie for dessert!! View of the bridge, water and boats on a beautiful sunny day... Who could ask for anything else.
5 stars simply for the service, cost, & insane view! This restaurant is great, solid, and reliable. Mostly everything is good, a few things, like the Salmon BLT, are great! You won’t be disappointed.Quick overview: 2 alcoholics cocktails, 1 22oz beer, 1 appetizer, 2 main dishes, 1 kids meal, 1 dessert, and 1 kid ice cream totaled about $100.The food:1. Calamari strips were very tasty, and came on a bed of fried onions and jalapeños. That part was a bit overkill on the fried food. It would have balanced better on a bed of lettuce.2. Salmon BLT w/ a side of salmon & clam chowder was very good! Generous portions hot and cooked perfectly.3. Pear salad was light and refreshing. Perfect size if you’re planning on eating or drinking a lot.4. Pear crisp was warm, soft, crunchy, and creamy (with ice cream) . If your tongue likes different textures, then this dish is for you!I’m stuffed and can’t wait to return!
We got crab dip, jambalaya and smoked burger. And .... Peach crisp. They were all good. The burger was sauce heavy but good.
