Great coffee shop, just be aware that they no longer offer WiFi to customers.

Really great setup for studying or doing some work. Comfortable seating and good drinks

This place has the right feel of a good coffee shop/roaster. Chemex on the wall, plenty of beans to choose from, cozy atmosphere and such. But! They do not offer pour overs for their coffee. How could this be? Even Starbucks will give you one if you ask, and this is supposed to better, right? Needless to say, I was a tad disappointed. However that was quickly rebutted with what became a delightful conversation with a lovely young woman. In her company gas station 2-day old burnt coffee would seem pleasant. Takeaway? Only go here if you can handle JUST drip, or you find yourself in good company.

Haven’t been in a long time, but the space is as lovely as ever. Staff is amazing and there was plenty of seating available. Great place to come to enjoy a coffee. Keep at it.

I was a frequent customer of Bluebeard Coffee. I’ve been going here since 2012. I’ve spoken well of it to many fellow Tacoma peeps, some of whom didn’t even know it existed.I was super disappointed the other day (three weeks ago now), when I went by and saw all of the seating had been taken away. It was a cold day and I wanted to stop in. No place to sit. When I moved here in 2020, this place was an absolute hub for parents, students, whomever. Plenty of places to sit. I was excited to have a coffee shop in my neighborhood. Since then they have had seating very inconsistently.I did what any customer is welcome to do and left a review on both Yelp and then as the problem persisted, here on Google. Two years in to the pandemic it seemed really extreme to me to remove the chairs. If this wasn’t the reasoning behind moving the tables out, let your customers know.Reviews are partly to give the businesses some feedback, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who was disappointed at the lack of chairs. It’s a coffee shop. After simply saying “No seating is ridiculous, you’re probably losing a lot of business for no reason”, the reply from the business owner was really immature & unprofessional.“Yea, __________ .We’re hiring for that now. One star review. Adios”, that’s his response.Another response to a one star review ........“It is our pleasure not seeing you back, _______We can recommend other places we don’t enjoy that you will love! Thanks!I see that the owner Kevin likes to leave replies that sound like a bully on a playground, especially towards females. I will not support a business that acts in that way.The coffee isn’t good enough to have piss poor customer service. Even if it was top notch, there’s really no excuse to act in such a way towards customers.Needless to say, this left a bad taste in my mouth. Adios, indeed. Good coffee is everywhere, good customer service is not. Work on your customer service & experience. I recommend Red Elm or Lenders instead. Both places are friendly & the coffee is always good.

Our favorite local coffee shop. We love the Nitro Draft Latte with oat milk, so delicious. Such a great space with fast and friendly service.

Came in pretty late (~4pm) one day and had a great experience. The shop was take-out only at the time I visited, the space looks a little empty. The warm baristas made it more welcoming than it looks. They were very friendly and didn't seem to be worn-down at the end of the day, gave me some good recommendations since I was just visiting.I had a latte and liked it. Nicely made.

Nice atmosphere - hoping to revisit when the indoor area is open again. Otherwise, it’s grab and go. My latte was good and prices are comparable for the area. It’s tough to find parking close by, so I’m not sure there’s enough to lure me back for just a to-go drink.

It’s time to bring back seating. Enough is enough. Stop whining at your customers for standing in the corner waiting for their coffees. Use the time to make a better latte like you used to.

Got a drip coffee for $3. Tasted very bitter as if they burnt the beans or something but that could be easily solved with more cream and sugar. Staff was really friendly and courteous. There are plenty of spots to sit, relax, chill, and work at. There’s only street parking afaik. There were plenty of customers already inside when I went around 9 am. Neighborhood is very quaint.
