This was the first time my husband and I went to The Viking, and we were very impressed! The food was excellent (we had the Philly steak nachos)!!I think the part we really liked the most, that set it aside from other “bars”, was the cleanliness of the entire building. Their attention to detail definitely makes want to come back!!! Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting the area!!

The Viking. It was once the best tavern in a 350 mile radius of Spokane, no joke. To find it's better, as to selection of beer poured by more knowledgeable people, you had to be in Portland or Seattle, and it was still a toss up at that. I can't fault it for what it is, but I miss what it was. Winter celebrations around the fire pit and a selection of well over 100 different beers, fifty or so on tap the rest being bottled, what could've been better. I spent a lot of money there, but I still have glassware in my cupboard from Wednesdays "pint glass night", so maybe it all worked out.I recently visited for the first time in about 15 years. It has changed tremendously. The guy that served us was great and the food is quite good, but that said, they used to have the best sandwiches in town. They had one with roast beef, cream cheese, clover sprouts, horse radish and I don't remember what cheese all on toasted rye bread, and it was glorious.Don't let my nostalgia keep you from dining here. They still have a couple of pools tables, shuffleboard, and most of the beer decorations on the walls, so, despite no fire pit, it's still close to what it once was. And the food really is pretty good.May they bring back the Tour De Beer.

Met a friend for lunch here yesterday! I hadn’t been here for several years! It was busy but the service was quick and the food was excellent!I highly recommend the Viking for lunch!!!It’s fun to suggest a fun, unique place to go for lunch! The servers were cute with fun personalities! It makes the whole dining experience more enjoyable!

The chef, Patrick, was outstanding. His attention to detail was accurate and on point and I enjoyed every savory bite of my meal. The bartender Zach was attentive and helpful with selecting my choices of beverages. Highly recommend this bar. Good, friendly aesthetic and reasonably priced

This is hands down my favorite bar in Spokane. The food and drinks are incredible. The service and staff make you feel like family. The atmosphere amazing. Tons of room. Shuffle board is my favorite there. Tons of games. Live music. Outside patio. What’s not to like!!! For anyone that wants to have a delicious food drinks and fun this is your spot!! 10/10 best bar in Spokane!!

I wish I could give this place 10 stars. The staff is professional and proficient wether its just me or in a large group. And the food that small bar kitchen is pushing out is exquisite. The Viking burger is tops in the city. The tater tots are a perfect side along with the house made dipping sauces. I have recently been getting the salads and was quite impressed with the taco salad which can be ordered with our without meat but either way the salsa ranch dressing is the star of the show. Even their side salad is thoughtfully prepared and not just a handful of bagged greens. The Viking also has a great beer list filled with local and regional favorites as well they carry local spirits and serve excellent cocktails. The Viking is great for lunch or dinner before a show or any event at the spokane arena.

I can’t believe I’ve been going to the Viking for probably 4 years now and I’ve never written a review. This place is AWESOME! Great atmosphere, fun staff (shoutout to the owners Steve and Krista, and two of the coolest bartenders/servers ever Jason and Zack), great drinks, reasonable prices, yummy food, I could go on forever. Had my birthday here one year and they fit all 12 of us at a big table and we had excellent service like always. Such a fun place to hit up before concerts or games at the arena, if you haven’t been you need to go check it out!!!

Hands down one of the best places in Spokane! Owners working their butts off to make sure everyone is taken care of, staff is happy and you can tell in the service and the food is great! Thankful there are still places like this to go to with local owners and a great atmosphere

The food here was phenomenal, and the service was great. Even our super picky kids loved the food! It's family friendly enough that there was no issue bringing the kids, but had a legit brewpub atmosphere. Plus there's solid daily and happy hour specials. We'll definitely be coming back!

The food is insanely good. Everything tasted amazing and the prices are so reasonable. Me and my friends demolished the appetizers and barely had room left for the entrees which were equally good. The mozzarella sticks are the size of a baby's arm
