Server was nice, kept the water filled but didn't come back so we could order more wine. Disappeared often, had to wait a long time for her to return each time. It was like they were trying to get us to leave. Food was decent
Scratch is downtown Spokane. It is a little bit of a walk from the central core of downtown (maybe five minutes) but well worth the walk. We have been there twice and both times really enjoyed the meal and wait staff. Eclectic menu. The couple of times we have been there it has been very quiet with few guests. Don't let that put you off because the food is great and the service is fun and that is what a restaurant should be. Worth the walk.
When we got to Scratch for our reservation we found them closed! Neither tgeir website nor their phone made mention of this closure. We were NOT amused!
Great wine choices and really good service. The west end of downtown offers some great options.
So disappointing after we made reservation based on previous great reviews. Rissoto was inedible as was the calamari appetizer.
Dinner before performance at The Fox Theater
Knowing Lane (one of the chefs) made the evening a truly wonderful evening. The food was fantastic and Joline and I got to catch up with an old friend. All of the staff were friendly and fun as they gave us great service.
We went to Scratch for our anniversary dinner and it was an excellent choice! The Risotto was full of flavor and the duck was excellently prepared and cooked. Our waitress was very enjoyable and helpful in selecting cocktails. The owner was very kind and congratulatory and the chef was deservedly proud of the meals he was crafting.
Excellent food creatively prepared. Service was attentive and friendly. First class.
Outstanding from salads to desserts. We started with the signature salad that had chunks of brie and a Caesar salad. For entrees the lamb was so tender it literally did not need a knife and the duck breast was well smoked. The apple pie was wow! Crust must have been pure butter. The server even let us taste a bottle of wine beforehand that she recommended because ours was not available. This is our new place for upscale dining in Spokane.
