There were 6 of us in our party and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The Shepherds Pie that I got was amazing! The staff are all super friendly. They have an extensive menu with plenty to choose from and 51 rotating taps that feature many local brews.
Staff was very friendly and kind. Onion rings were delicious. Our turkey & avocado burger was fine but nothing to write home about. We didn’t have a wait on a Friday night so grateful for that
We loved the Onion years ago. Fun and great food. But the past few years it is average at best. We dined there on Mother's Day and the service was horrible. Not the server. She was trying to make up for the slowness and appease us. She said it had been a tough day for the cooks. One meal at our table of 9 was forgotten completely and then served 35 min after everyone else. Most importantly the meals were tasteless and unimpressive. And Cold. I hope they fix this because it is a staple in Spokane and used to have great food and service
Our son fell asleep in our lap and the waitress didn't seem to care, the food was average; very noisy ball team of kids next to our table; we had a reservation and it wasn't honored and we still waited for 45 minutes.
Visited in the early afternoon and had great service dining in bar area. Nice selection of brews at reasonable prices. Ordered Fish & Chips..which was really tasty including the fries and coleslaw. However, for $19 can I get more fish.. or at least a bigger side of coleslaw? Restaurant has cool atmosphere and I sense it can have a nice vibe when busy or watching a sporting event.
Great food. Outstanding service. Our server was the barkeep, Rachal (or Rachel). Best service that I have had in Spokane. My daughter and and I shared the Bacon Stuffed Potato Tots. I could make a meal out of that. We fought over the last one... I lost. She ordered the Epicurean Mac & Cheese with Rock Lobster and Crab. She said it was very delicious. It was gone. I had the Cougar Gold Burger. Outstanding but I couldn't eat it all. I'm thinking midnight snack. The next time I'm in Spokane, I will be eating here again.
Loved the atmosphere in this terrific spot! We were here late in the day for lunch and we still had the most delicious lunch: The turkey club was made with excellent thick sourdough bread, real roasted turkey breast, and the most generous amount of perfectly cooked bacon. My husband had fish and chips, which was outstanding. 51 taps to choose from. Lovely service from the hardworking bartender. If we lived in Spokane, we'd be here all the time. So sad I didn't get to try the baked spaghetti, among other dishes.
Good but extremely pricey if you are taking the family out. We had our daughters bday there. We went there for their desserts but we had dinner and appetizers drinks too. Was bummed to find out they no longer have steak bites for a appetizer. Our waitress was great
This was our first time dining at The Onion, it won’t be the last. Very hospitable servers, friendly people who greeted us, and our dinner was delicious. I had the Monte Cristo and fries, it was delicious, quite filling and a good price. The strawberry lemonade was perfect. We will recommend The Onion to others.
Drove in from out of town with reservations had to sit in the bar with 2 kids and they did not honor happy hour menu they offered 2 days ago very disappointed won't be back again. After asking several times.
