I’m giving the hotel the same benefit of the doubt I’m giving most businesses currently and that is they must be short staffed. First the good: 1. The valets are amazing, 2. the location is perfect for our needs to walk all over and get to great running paths by the River, restaurants and shopping. 3. The suite was perfect size and setup. 4. Great fast hot water (don’t test the hot water without having cold on). 5. The bed and bedding were so comfy. 6. The L’Occinainne products were a nice little perk. 7. The restaurants, bar, and terrace had good food and service. Limited selections on the terrace but still great. 8. They have a great self guided historic tour of some amazing spots in the hotel. Now to lower your expectations: 1. They are not currently servicing your room. 2. They don’t tell you this at checkin or have signage in the room or even if the harried looking housekeeping staff peeks in the room and you duck out to leave while he says he was just looking for the empty rooms. 3. You can call for replacement coffee (make sure you specify you need cups too) or a towel. They will sound very kind. They may bring it right away. They may need a reminder call 5 hours later. They may need a reminder visit to the front desk- but they get it to you. 6. If you are hoping to chat about their favorite restaurants in the area some will hand you a sheet and say they don’t know what food you like and move on. 7. There are signs about the amazing champagne brunch - it no longer exists. All of these can be chalked up to being under staffed, personnel poorly suited to the necessary position they are playing, being stretched thin by a hotel who is faced with maximizing its room utilization and overworking its staff trying to stay afloat in these unusual times. All of of which can be accepted as long as you know what to expect. It was overall a pleasant experience and why I’m giving it a 4. Just adjust your expectations.

I'm so disappointed in our stay at the Davenport. I've lived in Spokane 10 years and this was my first stay so my expectations were high to be fair. I paid $350 for a single night and it was not at all worth it. Quality of this hotel is more on par with a $100 a night hotel. It's a gorgeous hotel but it is just a facade. The true quality is fairly low.1. Our bed was not level so our heads were a few inches lower than our feet.2. We used two cribs from the hotel. One was very wobbly and old, also there were no sheets for the crib mattress so they just laid down a couple towels, which is not safe nor comfortable.3. The light in our bathroom was strobing and clicking horribly so we had to use the bathroom without the light on.Not worth the money. Just very disappointing.

Beautiful hotel. The lounge is great. Parking is nearby and convenient. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The service leaves something to be desired. My room had 2 conditioners instead of a shampoo and conditioner. That is an understandable mistake.I called and asked for a shampoo to be dropped off to the room. I found another conditioner when I got back. It was too late in the night to do anything about it so I just left it alone.I also asked for a shower cap that never arrived and a toothpaste that only reached me after my second attempt.None of all this was bad enough to ruin my experience. But I did feel disappointed with the service.

Read this before you book your wedding!! Sales was great, but everything after that seemed pretty disorganized. They charge a 22% service fee and originally said that included gratuity, then said it didn't. We found out that they pay a higher wage instead of gratuity for weddings, but you can tip extra if you want. You have to prepay for what you expect people to drink, you set a limit for the open bar....our arrangement was they were supposed to come check in with me if we went over a certain amount. The bartender was telling people our prepayment amount the limit and even charged a guest, but luckily it ended up in our room charged not our guests. It was super embarrassing! Not sure how to fix that problem but maybe talk to the staff on that day of your wedding and remind them of your plan? Our family helped with clean up and some stuff was left behind. It's been a nightmare getting our items back. They don't just call you and say we have a box of things that was left at your wedding. You have to reach out to the hotel and describe each item. They probably still have a bunch of our stuff that we don't even know of missing yet... we've made multiple requests for our stuff. Some of our missing things were in a box together, we got some of the things in that box back and some of it is still missing. So double and triple check the area before you go! Also, take an inventory of your things so if something goes missing you can tell them what it is. Hopefully it's not a wedding gift! One of our cards is still missing! The service was hit and miss. The bellmen and one lady at the front desk were amazing, most of the other staff seemed to be inconvenienced by us!All that being said, we would still book the Davenport again....Our wedding was beautiful! The hotel was very clean! It was really convenient having so many of our guests staying at there!

The room was not that great and definitely not for the price. Linens were very thin and not soft and pillows were flat. There was no guidance provided on next am breakfast. It was Mother’s Day and we were told wrong information about the breakfast voucher and ended up with no breakfast. Walls and curtains were dingy and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in years. Not enough towels and paper supplies for 4 people staying in the room. We requested extra pillows and received 1 more flat pillow. Very disappointing and compared to the other two Davenport properties, this one has gone downhill for the rooms quality. and decor.

This hotel is beautiful and I loved all the history. Unfortunately the staffing shortage has hit them hard. The room was clean and spacious but we had no cleaning service the 4 nights we were there so our trash built up and we were daily having to call for things, including coffee, and creamers, towels, water, and shower gell. The shower gel bottle was empty when we checked in and that was your only bathing soap option. We were in a suite with a sofa bed which we used for our nephew but had to request pillows. To there credit everything we asked for was brought except on the last day. We called twice for coffee, creamers and waters and never received these items. We let them know when we checked out and they gave us a discount on that day. I think we should have gotten a discount for each day given the lack of service to our room.We used the Palm Grill for a meal in there private room and the service and foid were both amazing.

Used the Davenport as a stopover and it did not disappoint! Staff were fantastic and extremely helpful, location is great and within walking distance of downtown and the falls. Room was spacious and spotless with very comfortable bed. Hope to visit again!

This historic hotel is a unique and beautiful property in Spokane. The restoration of this historic hotel was exquisitely done to preserve the authenticity and grandeur of the central, common areas of the building while offering modern, comfortable rooms within the original exterior. Self guided walk through tours are encourage and reveal a lot of history that adds greatly to appreciate the preservation for all to enjoy well into the future. I think the bedrooms walla are quite empty

This hotel is a beautiful representation of a well restored historic landmark. Our room was spacious and clean. The staff, for the most part, was friendly and welcoming. The food was decent and the drinks in the Peacock lounge were outstanding.
