First time trying this amazing place and it did NOT disappoint! My dad had the salmon and he loved it! My mom had the duck and pancakes and raved about it! My mushroom stroganoff was to die for. All highly recommended! We split the bread pudding at the end and it was the perfect treat to end an amazing dinner. The atmosphere and food were perfection! We will definitely be back! Prices were reasonable too for the quality of food! Well done Gilded Unicorn, well done! :)

I went here for my Birthday Dinner and it was better then expected. Food was 10/10The atmosphere from music to scenery was amazing! Our waiter even gave me a free birthday desert. When we come back to Spokane the Gilded Unicorn is a must. Reservations are recommended!

Unique dining experience, delicious food, excellent service and eclectic fun vibe...these are just some of the words I would use to describe the gilded unicorn. Made reservations months in advance for a celebratory dinner for our daughters graduation. We were seated in a little room off the main dining room - perfect for our large group. Service food and drinks were all excellent! Really enjoyed this place, would definitely return ?

Hubby and I went here to enjoy a superb "last meal" before my upcoming procedure places me on a liquid diet, and we were not disappointed. He had the Duck & Pancakes (now I know what "savory" pancakes are, and two drinks. A Winter Night with Van Gogh reminded me of a childhood illness treatment. Was absinthe in my Paragoric? or a cough syrup? I don't know, it was the early 60's and I was a babe, but let's say the drink tastes a bit medicinal. I had the Butter Basted Quail. Never had quail before, looks like too much work for such little food, but I was not disappointed. Such a fun plate! I started with their Deviled Eggs, AMAZING! and the Unicorn Martini. It had SPRINKLES!!! Followed by the Pink Elephant. Fair warning: the drinks are not light on the alcohol. So tasty! Had the apple crisp for dessert; not sure where the crisp was, but the apples were nicely sliced and cooked to perfection. My server, Mindy, was just as amazing as the food, drink, and atmosphere. She rolled with each line we dealt, totally on our side like we were the most important people there. So much personality. I'd love to return. Maybe next time I get a bonus? Because we spent way too much money for just the two of us. But there were so many foods to try!!!

Their Mac and Cheese is the bomb!

The Guilded Unicorn was ok. Guilded Unicorn martini was very sweet but the alcohol smacks ya in the face strong. The Bocce Rolls were a little burnt but delicious. Magical Mac was dry and didn't have a lot of flavor. Not creamy at all. Lots of melted cheese on top made it deceiving. My hubby ordered the meatloaf. It was delicious. Came with potatoes and some kind of green veggie witch was delicious as well. Table next to us ordered a dessert. Not sure what one, but they were complaining it was really small. Reservations are encouraged on weekend nights.

I was told this place is known for its famous cocktail drinks, which is why I selected this place to dine amongst friends. Although I don't do cocktails, I was informed by a colleague that his Old Fashioned was superb! As for the meals, mine was okay; however, the others really enjoyed their entrees. I must have chosen wrong. I had high expectations for the bacon cured salmon; however, it was simply average at best. It lacked any bacon taste and was served quite dry. Therefore, the four rating is based on how much more my friends enjoyed their meals. One friend absolutely loved his Unicorn Mac n' Cheese with bacon added. It was made of creamy Gouda cheese. Another opted for the bison meatloaf served with fried onions. He also loved his dish. Yet another went with the butter braised quail with mushroom gravy, parsnip mashed potatoes, and cranberry chutney. Another selected the Katsu Cordon Bleu served with tater tots. I would definitely come again to try something different.

Dropped by here last night on the recommendation of one of the front desk staff at the hotel I'm staying at down the street who's restaurant was closed for the evening. So glad I did. Last night I had the Bison Meatloaf. It was delicious. So much so, this evening I decided to return. Tonight I had a Dark Side of Manhattan (whiskey, sweet vermouth, dry vermouth, and orange bitters) the Pan Roasted Pork Chop for my entree, and Banana Fosters Bread Pudding for dessert. All of it extremely tasty. Service is very good as well. I am so happy to have been referred here. If you are in Spokane, the small, fun decor Gilded Unicorn is worth a visit. Or two. Or three. :)

Hotel staff recommend this restaurant , located in the basement in a old building , with dimly lit with cobblestone and brick wall surrounding with amazing historical pictures , whole place is packed , look's like a local water hole neighbourhood pub , tablets too closed to each other , not a romantic or relax place for dinner , I know face mask was lifted , but so crowd , I do not feel comfortable about it , I almost turn around and walk out , and just happened our tablet ready for us , also girl friend like to stay , menu limited but creative , lot of choices , of course I order the Bison Meatloaf very flavourful , incredible taste , impressed truly a treat , my girl friend's Bacon Cured Salmon delicious , little spicy but she love it , over all , food is excellent seems a lot of patron left , lot more enjoyable , service is average , too busy for her ! so if you first time visit , looking for a unique restaurants to eat special the Bison Meat loaf ! Unicorn is the place ! not pricy !

What a cool place with food as unique as its name! The rock walls give the place an awesome atmosphere. The wait staff were helpful & friendly. We will be back! I had the duck & pancakes…yum! Others had the tater tot casserole that they raved about.
