Amazing restaurant and very romantic feel if you are taking someone special out to eat. It was our first time here and will definitely be back for sure. Our whole meal was delicious and my favorite was the Crab Cakes which I highly recommend to start with. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful ?

We were seated quickly, our service was great, received our food in a timely manner and was nice and hot, paying was done efficiently. Overall, pricing seemed a little high and flavor low.- Bread was surprisingly good and tasty!- Clam Chowder was creamy and good, could have used more flavor.- Prime Rib was decent, just a little too fatty and not as well done as I prefer. Lacked seasoning/flavor.- Mashed Potatos were just ok- Fries seemed fresh made and very good!!- Prime Rib Sandwich was pretty tasty (I'd get this over the prime rib next time)- Burger was reported as average for the price- Salmon was reported to be very good!!

So glad to be able to enjoy this spot once again! Worth the drive from the South Hill or the Valley! I stop by as a little end-of-the-week treat once in awhile. The ambiance is cozy if not romantic, but there are tvs, food is great, and the staff is top notch. I always start out with the prawn cocktail. Tonight I chose the steak salad, the pickled red onion puts it a notch above other restaurants, and the steak is cooked exactly how you like. I like it with blue cheese, but to each their own. Anna was attending the bar and she was fast, professional, and very welcoming. 10/10

Amazing service and the food is awesome! Had the Louis salad and the steak pasta. The salad has a very generous amount of fresh crab, super big win for me! And the price was very reasonable for seafood, especially crab!Steak was cooked absolutely perfectly (medium rare to me is a little closer to medium than rare, so if you prefer more rare then please err on the side of caution and order a little more rare. You can always throw it on a little longer but you cannot uncook food!Sooooo good!Patio is open soon... adding this spot to my list of favs for Spokane!Highly recommend

Ordered the blood orange old fashion and they got it right by making it with Buffalo Trace bourbon. Had stuffed mushrooms for Our appetizer, the soup de jour was French Onion.

So my husband and I went here on a spontaneous date night.I'll start of with customer service, which was 10/10. Our server Anna was very kind and attentive. My husband got the prime dip and it was *chefs kiss* I got the louie, based on a previous review. I did not like the dressing. So definitely try it before pouring it all over your salad. Otherwise the food was amazing! The clam chowder was great. Better than Anthony's! We will be back! Only reason I give the 4 out of 5 was due to the dressing. (Which again, our server was so kind about and offered a new salad.)

I plan to return at the first opportunity to embellish this review, but I will say this: by far and away the best clam chowder and prime rib I've had in Spokane. The chowder was smokey and full of new potatoes... Delicious. The prime rib was exceptionally seasoned and perfectly cooked as ordered. So pro tip: most steak restaurants undercook but this one actually hits its mark. This will change my level of doneness the next time I order. I ordered medium rare and it was perfect but that's my fault for becoming acustom to a rare-medium rare result at the table. Nevertheless, it was delicious and will order rare-medium rare next time -- there definitely will be a next time. Some of the traditional cocktail recipes can be updated is my only criticism... Nevertheless, a great casual place for fine dining.

Great place, friendly staff and the food was awesome

My husband, our one year old and I tried The Barrel tonight and were very impressed. Our waitress( I forget her name) was phenomenal and so helpful. Our daughter is allergic to dairy, egg, garlic and nuts, so our waitress brought out all kinds of things that she was able to eat. We really appreciated that she cared and was so accommodating. My husband and I tried the stuffed mushrooms and coconut prawns for appetizers. The prawns were our favorite. They are massive! Then we shared the surf and turf meal which is so much food!! You get soup or salad, some of the best sourdough bread I’ve ever had, a 14oz ribeye and 1/2lb crab legs with a choice of a side (we chose cheesy mashed potatoes) and it’s all delicious! The steak was cooked perfectly and was so tender. We also ordered a slice of mud pie to go for dessert later at home and it was amazing too! We will definitely be going back and will definitely recommend this place to others.
