Needed a late evening / night place on a recent visit to Spokane. Drove from Spokane Valley and were not disappointed.Had a cocktail and beer along with a burger on a GF bun with sweet potato fries and a Cuban sandwich with macaroni salad.Cocktail, burger, fries and Cuban were all tasty, but the macaroni salad was really bland, a little salt would go a long way.Our server was nice and attentive without being a pest. Wasn't too crowded despite it being Saturday night.Seems like it might be near a college and a busy drinking establishment. Music was VERY loud.We would visit again.
Absolutely amazing food! But, that was one of the most disgusting bathrooms I have ever been in at a restaurant. Their were bugs everywhere, the floors were litered with bug carcasses. The floors were unwashed, and just the general condition of the bathroom was replusive. Makes me wonder what their kitchen looks like.We visited 3/16/22 @6pm.
I was a loyal and weekly customer at Backyard over the last five years. Throughout the whole pandemic, me and my family supported that place. Something has changed. They lied to me on the phone about take out orders and were unfriendly af. A lot of small businesses/restaurants had a hard time over the last two years and deserve your support - not this place! They deserve nothing, take your money elsewhere.
I had the most delicious damn burger here the other night and they happily plated it for 2 so I could split it with my wife. Super service, drinks. Great fries.You know, years ago this place was a two-star dive bar. It is now a five-star, friendly neighborhood hangout I am proud to live near.
Trivia rocks! The host is lots of fun and the staff is always friendly and attentive
I've had 5 star food here. I have also had 3 star food. Dont forget, Your a Gastropub..Please keep up w perfecting dishes. Poutine was far too salty once, bread on Cuban, soggy. Lacking enough chicken in the thai peanut wrap. Boring house ceaser w packaged parm and store bought croutons?? , garlic bread could be gotten Anywhere. Lowering cost wouldn't be unappreciated:). $100 for 4 drinks, appetizer and 2 entrees is,,, a lot for Anything but perfection. I loathe finding a gem like the Backyard then being concerned about quality slipping. Please please play some music that isnt so thumpingly forgetful and annoying.
Ate here for the first time tonight. Two people working the bar/serving and they were so kind/awesome! Food was BOMB! The waitress figured out a way for me to take home some of their amazing queso to have at home with chips. Will for sure be going back again.
Fun!!! Zac made it fun for us. Backyard needs to fix its Google hrs though. It shows Fri/Sat as being open for only an hr.
Very crowded, which led to slow service. Other wise would have been a 5 star rating.Staff was friendly and courteous, drinks were well made and the food was excellent.
