This place deserves 6 or more stars, it has transformed my expectations of what a dining experience should be; intimate, joyful, and satiating not just to the pallette, but to the soul... It celebrates the rapport of company and fellowship with its private rooms, excellent service (thank you Nadia), and S-class food... When my dad lived in Spokane, he would come to this establishment and was friends with the people that owned it. When he found out that I was going to Spokane for a visit, he recommended that I go to this restaurant so that we could share, in a distant way, the experience. Upon entering the restaurant, and from our server to the delicious food we savored, this was truly a dining experience! I would give the Suki Yaki Inn Japanese Restaurant high marks for their wonderful taste in food, and definitely a 10 out of 10 for their service!
Recently visited for sushi only. Walk-in for a Friday night at 8pm for 2 people. We expected a wait but there was also plenty of open seating. After finally being seated we waited for over an hour for 4 rolls of sushi. Presentation was nice for all rolls, but the taste was the worst sushi we’ve ever eaten. Poor quality ingredients and none of the ingredients tasted fresh. The crab meat in California Roll looked grey in color; the rice for the rolls was so soft that it formed this thick, gelatin mass around the rolls; and all the rolls had a soapy aftertaste. We tried one piece of each roll and did not finish the plate. We asked for the bill … $50 for 4 rolls. Paid and left a full plate. Mediocre service and 1.5+ hour visit for 4 rolls of sushi. DO NOT VISIT IF YOU WANT PROPER SUSHI - If you're visiting from out of town (especially from a metro city) you will be disappointed. Surprised this passes as acceptable but in a smaller town there is no quality to compare. I’ve had better tasting sushi purchased at a grocery store!

Came here on the Lunar New Year. One of the best experiences I've ever had! Our waitress was extremely kind and helpful. It wasn't busy at all right when they opened at 5. Loved the traditional dining setting and everything was absolutely delicious. Their house sauce they serve the vegetable salad in is divine!
Awesome food, top quality fish for sushi, and a super neat seating area where you can dine as traditional Japanese do. Great family owned restaurant, everyone truly cares and it shows. I only wish I had tried this place much sooner.
Really the best sushi I've tasted in Spokane. The seating is more traditional Japanese style so the booths are very cozy and private.
Best Sushi in Spokane, I have had Sushi all over the world and this is hands down the best Sushi Around. Amy, the owner, sources only the best fish from the most responsible locations. Been frequenting this establishment for better than 15 years. None better.
Amazing place!! My boyfriend and I came and sat down at the booths for a nice dinner. We ordered sui dumplings, vegetable tempura, curry chicken rice with an extra side of rice all to share.The tempura vegetables were perfect- crispy and delicious but not too oily.The sui dumplings.. oh my god.. I really loved the vinegar sauce the steamed dumplings came in.The chicken curry rice was sooo good. Perfect gravy like texture and they gave us a side of pickled vegetables and soup. I think the soup is what they use for their soba noodles and was so amazing. The pickled vegetables weren’t incredibly salty and a refreshing compliment to the comforting and filling curry we got.I had some green tea to end my meal. It was perfect!I finished my meal too quickly before taking a picture.. oops hehe
BEST sushi in Spokane. Definitely sit at the individual sitting on the floor tables if available! Wonderful atmosphere and service. They also have tasty cocktails!
