Love love this place! As a Real Estate professional it is nice to have a high quality place like the Safari Room to treat my clients or relax with colleagues. Quality food, lovely atmosphere, wonderful service everytime! Joezette Johnson-The Legacy Group
Understaffed and food served cold. When I mentioned my breakfast was cold the waiter grabbed it, mumbled something and took it away. I had no idea whether they were making it fresh or what. No one explained, apologized or even checked on us during the whole breakfast. No coffee refills even after asking for them. I Saw our waiter chatting with guy in corner, he was busy but also just not that into waiting on anyone. I had to go up to register to even get checked out.
After two years of cancelled business trips because of COVID, I was finally able to return to Spokane for a worldwide conference. I was unable to book a room here, but most of my colleagues did. That's why everyone knew my name. I did end up coming here three separate nights for a drink before or a drink after dinner elsewhere as well as the opening social. The Safari Room is always a pleasant atmosphere with a quality waitstaff. I had Caleb twice and Jason once. All in all, I dropped over $100.00 bucks during the three visits, but it was well wort it. I was a bit dismayed they were no longer offering their great pizzas as part of happy hour due to COVID. It is time to bring that back!
Came here for late night dinner after a night out, we ordered a burger, a brisket sandwich, and St. Safari for drink. The brisket sandwich was so tiny, but the meat was tender and tasty. The fries was amazing! The burger was good as well. They need to improve their bread, though. When the check came in, my husband noticed price discrepancy for brisket sandwich, it’s showing $17.95 while the menu says $15.95. When we asked the server, she gave me a blurb saying the manager just left yada yada but she’ll see what she can do about it. A few moments later she came back and told us “They said they can’t do anything about it, the menu is ‘outdated’, it’s just a $2 difference anyway.” (She also handed us another menu that I don’t know what its for). Now, I understand it might not be her fault, but saying “it’s just a $2 difference anyway”? Since it’s just $2, why can’t the place do something about it then? It’s not a matter of how much the difference is, but it’s a breach of trust. The price in their menu is what they advertised, yet they sneakily spiked up their price. If you happen to come here anyway, remember to review your check, it’s not gonna make any difference since they won’t do anything about it anyway, but at least you can help others by reminding them to never, ever come to this place.
The safari room is pretty good as far as hotel bars and food goes. Service is outstanding, it's a nice space, and the food is good. Sadly there's a ton of fun and interesting food and drink nearby so it's hard to be excited about the Safari Room.
Try the Cougar gold cheese dip! It's delicious!Seating is very close to the other diners - if you don't mind that. Food is great, higher than average prices, but not crazy high. We split a chopped salad and the Cougar Gold Cheese Dip and it was a nice meal. We weren't real hungry. Attentive servers.
Used to like this place, but won't be back for a long time. We were forced to sit in the lobby for some reason, even though the restaurant was empty. We should have left at that point. Kept getting blasted with freezing cold air every time someone walked in or out of the entrance. Prices are stupidly high. Food was pretty good, although small and not hot because of said arctic blasts. Our server was great though.
We went to Safari Room for the Christmas dinner. The menu was more limited than usual, but the choices all sounded great regardless. The waitstaff was excellent, despite informing us they were short-handed. The martinis were well-made and when we got the food, none of us were disappointed - the brisket was outstanding! I recommend checking out the Safari Room. If their regular menu is anything like the limited menu, you won’t be disappointed.
The management and service was exceptional. We always love the Old Fashioned here; it’s perfect!
Christmas. Thought they would have had a special menu…same as Thanksgiving. A little boring. Not much variety.
