I'm a door dash driver and picked up an order here and while I was there I glanced at the menu and was pleasantly surprised to find a wide array of vegan options. I've literally never had a Chinese food entree as a lifelong vegetarian because plant based options simply don't exist so seeing an entire page dedicated to vegan full entrees made my day and I placed an order on my next day off. I was definitely turned off a bit by the high prices shown on the online menus so I was again pleasantly surprised when I placed my order and was told it would be less than 20$ for the sweet and sour tofu, spring rolls, and sesame buns. They said it would be ready in half an hour to 45 minutes so I took my time driving there but it was ready in less than 30 minutes. I was excited to dig into my plant based meal but when I got home I was disappointed that the sesame buns I'd really wanted to try were missing from my order. :( I had specified on the phone that I wanted the sesame buns with the coconut sauce so I don't understand why they missed that. I called them and they told me to come back in and get them. I ate my meal and it was delicious. I am so happy that I've found a Chinese restaurant that makes a wide selection of plant based food, something I've been waiting for for a long time. I was disappointed that they forgot my sesame buns and I don't understand why they missed this on a slow Sunday night so there is definitely room for improvement in regards to customer service. It seems from the other reviews that this is a common mishap so it seems they really need to work on providing better service and listening better. I hope they do improve these things because the food was great and I will for sure be back. I would have given 3 stars but I'm just so stoked that FINALLY there's a Chinese food restaurant that offers meat-free vegan and vegetarian options. It's worth the visit, just be very clear about what you want.

I went in with my daughter after work and ordered takeout. My food was ready to go In about 20 min. The customer service was excellent and don't get me started on the food. We got the two person meal B with a few extras. It was the best Chinese food I have ever had. Everything was super fresh and super tasty. And it was reasonably priced. We fed my family of 4 big eaters for under $75 and still have about half for left overs. I would recommend this place to anyone! Delicious!

I have patronized this place for decades so I have no idea why things have changed. We ordered our meal with a 30 minute delivery time, it was after the 30 minutes that our delivery time was extended. After waiting for an hour and a half, we contacted you and we were notified that our food was just leaving the restaurant and that things were “very busy”. About 30 minutes after that, the food was delivered. The rolls were tasty, the dumplings were borderline burned on one side and the edges were chewy, most of the honey walnut prawns were tasty (though I got a bite of something very acidic in this) and the vegetables had good crunch. The MOST disappointing part was that the food was COLD. Needless to say, we will be reconsidering our Chinese food establishment choice in the future, which after all these years saddens me.

Ordered dinner for my girl and I through DoorDash. They confirmed my order, but when the driver got there they had her wait around for around 10 min. Just to then go up to her and tell her I picked up my order right before she arrived. Now why would I pay for delivery service just to go pick it up myself. This place is a joke I'd stay clear if I was you.

Love this place for the vegan menu! Always 5 stars and the service is great too. For those complaining about not getting crunchy noodles in their chop suey, the waitress told us today that they are out and have been out due to manufacture shortages so please be understanding there’s not much they can do about that.

Another data point for undelivered food. Really liked the Hillyard location for their vegan menu but every time I've dealt with the downtown one there's been an issue. My husband put in the order at 6:45, ETA of 7:45, and as of 10:45 we have received nothing. He called three times - first time was about 1.5 hours in, and he was told it was "on the way" without any further detail. Second time it was the same story, with a comment about it being busy and hard to find drivers - I totally understand that has been an issue lately and realistically we probably should have just driven the 10 minutes to pick it up ourselves, but sometimes a grown adult just wants delivery Chinese food and if it's not a service they can offer, just say so. Third call, no answer, presumably because they had closed by then.Attempted to contact the online menu company we ordered through via their website, but they wouldn't issue a refund and ultimately he had to take it up with the bank who it seems will cancel the charge for the $80 of food we never received.Anyway, it doesn't look like we're the only ones who had this disappointing experience - so order at your own risk.

Been here a couple times and while the food is ok the service is TERRIBLE. There is no one up front and you have to wait a while before anyone comes out to give you a menu. Very unfriendly feels like you are a burden being there.

We ordered our food two hours ago, called multiple times & ultimately had to call the North location to find out what is going on & even they can't get ahold of the restaurant. We're about to head down there & just pick up our food instead. Ridiculous.

Oh boy. Let's start with, they forgot the crunchy noodles for my chop suey. Damn. I ordered PORK chop suey, and I got half a pound of celery and a few bits of bbq pork. The short ribs were inedible due to there being nothing but fat wrapped loosely around bone. The almond chicken wasn't broken down so you got big ol chunks of grey chicken and damn near no gravy. Crab puffs were good. There's your star.
