Great place.. The atmosphere is perfect for those getting off work and want to hang with friends or co-workers. Brian the bartender is fast and the drinks he makes are just right. I recommend the huckleberry mint, phenomenal. The food is good, not greasy and cooked wonderfully. Having the fish and chips and I am pleasantly surprised on the quality. Just a great place to chill after work.

Today Jun3 2022 at 3:00 walked into Post Street Ale House. We- my wife and I had been looking forward to trying it out. We walked in asked if we could sit at bar guy nodded and walked off. The lady bartender turned around and answered the phone ok no big deal. The guy takes some water to a table then walks by the bar and leans there-- ok that's rude and poor service - mean while the lady behind the bar continues to talk on phone. Finally hangs up then walks away from us. Comes back to bar does a couple chores--- now nobody has even talked to us- not I'll be right with you- no hi welcome just a moment NOTHING. My wife and I get up to leave lady behind bar turns and makes the first eye contact with us. I say I don't think you want our business. She still does not say ANYTHING just turns her back to us. Won't ever go back. We been several time to Davenport businesses. With good service. This is the Worst service I've had in downtown Spokane.

I used to love coming to Post Street, but rumour has it they brought a new chef in about a month or two ago, and the menu is just not the same.Neither is the product.Their fish and chips used to be halibut, beer battered and really good. Now it's cod and is soggy, lightly breaded, and fall apart if you get through the breading.I thought I'd try the fish sandwich but it was like $17+ for a sandwich that honestly I've had better than at fast food joints. I'm very disappointed in the menu overhaul. My friend ordered their Mac & cheese and it didn't even resemble mac & cheese. It looked like noodles in a pink/red sauce.Sadly, I won't be going here anymore, a real bummer since I work downtown and it was a staple for me.

My wife and I gave it a try last night. My wife had the black bean soup. She stated it was very good. I had the fish sandwich. The sandwich was OK. The menu was revamped. The p rice was expensive for what we got. Disappointed in service. Overall I thought everything would be better, since this restaurant is owned by the Davenport Hotel. Won't be going back anytime soon. Hood soup or not.

They redid the menu and got rid of their signature BLT. That was one of the only things I ordered there and I wish they would bring it back.

staff are very friendly. Fast service, delicious food

This business is located in the Historic Whitten Block which was built in 1890 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. It is a beautiful Building and should be checked out.

Great service and a fun little stop on NYE.
