Decent food and beer selection. Bad service, though. One wait person who was also tending bar. Went for dinner with buddies. Took FOREVER. The lady apologized but it was BS. Kept calling us “Hon” and saying things like, “Are you happy?” I wanted to tell her to get her stuff together, but we patiently sat there and did the marathon wait thing. Bathroom was a mess with a broken soap dispenser. Wanted to take a pic but left phone at table. I keep reading that it’s hard to get good help these days. Go to Poole’s and have this fact validated.
Second time I've been here. I had the club sandwich... Excellent! Very generous portion and I'm a big guy. Have a sweet potato fries we're very good and perfectly cooked, but we're lacking just a tiny bit of sweetness. I would give the sweet potato fries just for out of five stars. It also could have just been a batch that lacked a little sweetness. I also had an Arnie Palmer which was the perfect blend of tea and lemonade. Prices were reasonable, the restaurant was very clean, and the service was very good.
You will get great customer service and consistently good food at Pooles! My hubs loves the club, burgers are good, nachos are tasty, really solid menu all around!
The parking lot looked full as we pulled up, but we got quick and friendly service. Food was fresh and tasty. The 22oz Irish Death took a while to finish though.
This place is alright. Food is pub food, place has sports bar atmosphere. Went there for a friends birthday. One server was great and always asked if we needed anything, or another beverage. The other server for our group didn't smile much and appeared annoyed that our group was there. Had a sandwich, and would give it a two (2) on a scale between 1 and 10. The bread was over cooked, almost burnt and wasn't all the great. Maybe it was just the sandwich I had ordered, as I have had good food there before. I would probably visit this establishment again, although I would not go out of my way to go there, there are a ton of places exactly like this throughout Spokane.
RUBEN Testimonial: There are multiple restaurants that claim to have the best Ruben Sandwich! I’ve taste tested several. I thought I owed it to the community, not because I love a great Ruben! ?Before I ate at Pools Public House my favorite place to eat a good Ruben was in Post Falls now it slipped to second place! The menu selection at Pools is very wide; I have to believe there is something for everyone! Our server was fabulous! We both ordered bottomless Strawberry Iced-tea! I I’ve been told the food at the North side location equals the South hill.Sorry I didn’t get a good photo of our sandwiches and the big salad that came with it! There were other sides to choose from also!I highly recommend! -Rich
I've been here and the original Northside location as well. Both have premium food, excellent customer service and are very clean. Full bar, good selection on tap, some good wine selections. Food is high quality. Service is impeccable: VERY nice staff and knowledgeable. Although it could be classified as a sports bar diner, the volume is low key and it is family friendly. If you want consistency in food and service, look no further. A+
Pretty poor experience with takeout. Ordered 6 menu items, 3 of which were messed up. No lemon or tartar with the Fish and Chips (okay, so that's minor); Caesar Salad that had no Caesar dressing included; Brie Burger had no brie (seriously, opened the box to find a bare burger patty on arugula). Giving 3 instead of 2 stars only because we've had better experiences in the past.
Their orange chicken is a joke. Panda express tastes better anyway. Also the lack of bacon on a bit, seriously. It's suppose to be a bacon sandwich. Really disappointed.
Came for tacos, the food was good, but service was ok, one person for the section he had was a bit much. He messed up one of our orders when we asked for no tomatos and add raw onion.
