I can not believe this place is highly rated !! Don’t ever go to this place . On April 24th, 2022 at about 1:48 pm a few girls and I stopped by to eat at this place. Before receiving our food we all went to the bathroom to wash our hands. We came across an Asian lady maybe mid ages , very short hair (black) who happened to be an employee and is right at the register. She came out of her stall and we all noticed she still had her gloves on , she washed her hands with her gloves on and never took them off . We didn’t say anything because we thought perhaps she’d switch them off as soon as she got to the kitchen , one of my friends and I followed her , and she went straight to serving like that !!! She was filling beverages and grabbing straws. I’ve never seen anything more disgusting in my life, she grossed me out and I couldn’t even eat my food anymore . I don’t even think they deserve even 1 star . I am never going there again!
The food truly is amazing but in my opinion I feel ripped off when I bought a coffee to go. The picture speaks for itself. I kindly asked the lady who rang me up to please fill up the cup with more coffee since it looks like it was barely filled all the way. It's not like a can't afford a $6.00 coffee but this wasn't cool. She didnt even bother to hear me out and pretended her English was limited and blew me off.
So we walk in at 8:35 pm there are five tables with food dining in the restaurant, I walk to a table and hear my friend being told, "You can only order to go." I plead to dine in as our homes are a distance away and eating cold food was not appealing. Ten minutes go by with denial, from three different restaurant staff and scowls from other. Of any ours offers, including saying we would help clean up the restaurant. We left and received better service and food at KFC. It has been three years since I dined at this restaurant due to Covid. Also having a memory of being served old soggy, sticky noodles the last time, I had dinner at the location. I thought, give it a try? I don't know why I went back. A HUGE MISTAKE!!! AVOID THIS RESTAURANT. I ALMOST WONDER IF MY TREATMENT WAS FACE BASED!!!! My only hope here is, that I can post this with ZERO STARS? It has been five years since I had a Great meal here, Which is sad, Very Sad. Poor treatment and poor food. Make this my last time through Pho Van's doors. Stress and Anxiety are the LAST THING I look for when dining out! NO MORE!!! NO MORE!!! NO MORE!!! THE HORROR OF IT ALL. Sadly, this could not be posted with ZERO STARS! HOW ABOUT MINUS STARS?
Been several years since I've tried this place. I'm not sure if there is a new family running it now, but it's far better than the last experience. And they sure didn't have Roast Duck on the menu back in the day. I'm thrilled to say they do as good a preparation with duck than I've had East of the Cascades. Very tender, great flavor, and a nice amount of fat and peripheral skin crispiness. It's gonna make it darned hard to experiment at other Asian joints in town when I order duck, knowing that these guys have a winner here. The Wifey greatly enjoyed her soup, as well. These folks were bustin' their tails in both the kitchen and the dining area on a very busy Sunday lunch, and all staff were friendly and attentive. Way to go, Pho Van...
Pho was delicious. Pork binh mi was great too. Service was freaky fast. Huge glasses of water. I see why the 4.5 ratings reviews are accurate. This is the best pho place in Spokane.
This was my first Pho experience since moving to Spokane. We had chicken Pho, fresh spring rolls and coconut shrimp. Pho was great. Fresh rolls were awesome. Coconut shrimp was good too. Maybe a little greasy but I ate them all! ?
Delicious ? loved it.! The staff was very courteous, polite, prompt. First time ever eating Pho or Vietnamese food.!!!!! my family and I loved it ? we are from a different state, can't wait to come back just to have some more Pho.! Thank you Pho Van
Seriously some of the best pho I have ever had! Clean broth, perfectly seasoned, great portion sizes. Their banh mi and spring rolls were also quite good. Steer clear of the calamari & stick with the traditional dishes as that is where they really shine!
I love them, please never go stingy on your ingredients because I loved the duck soup so much especially in 2018! Please keep that quality up there and I will buy more often!!!!
