I've eaten here a few times over the years. The food doesn't exactly taste bad, but the quality is absolutely terrible and leaves you feeling dirty and full of self loathing. Noodles and veggies are overwhelmingly greasy with maybe a spoonful of frozen vegetable mix. The fried meats are pebbles inside a mound of breading, of which is then drizzled with a neon red corn syrup sauce. Egg roll is without a doubt from Costco. The people who like this stuff are likely drunk or stoned out of their gourd. This place may be an institution, but it's outgunned by the likes of places like panda express in terms of value and quality.
Great simple Chinese food restaurant. I’ve been getting order pickup during Covid and the service is fast and Chinese friendly. Seems to only be order pickup right now. But that’s fine with me. Enjoy.
My house hold (4), my family (5) and a close friend all had Ming wah in the same night, we all had went at different times & 7 of us all have food poisoning. When we contacted the owner to bring it to his attention he is was extremely unprofessional and rude, calling us all liars for being sick. How can that many people be sick in one night ?.. do better Ming wah, especially with your customer service . I’ll never eat here again! Be mindful when eating here because that many people sick after eating here is insane to me.
The food was awful. The 'eggrolls' were more like a doubled egg roll that was fried, battered and fried again. The noodles resembled spaghetti rather the expected rice noodles. Chicken was missing from the Chicken subgum. Wasted money.
My family ate here last night and I had found hair in my food he was willing to remake it today but 4/8 of us ended up with food poisoning I called to inform them that we had food poisoning and that I was declining the offer for him to remake my plate. He than basically said I was a liar because no one else had called in yesterday stating that had food poisoning… will not ever go back.
Always delicious. Best fried rice and noodles in town. I have gone here for years. The service is always quick and friendly. Despite occasional language barrier they always get you what you want or need.
I know this place is an iconic restaurant in Spokane and truthfully I've eaten there several times, beginning in the 90s. This is not the restaurant I remember it to be. I've been so disappointed the last two times I've gotten combo plates that I'm sad to say that I think I'm done with Ming Wah.
No dine in eating and they make you to wait outside in the cold while they prepare your order. $23 for General Tsao chicken and two eggrolls. The chicken was heavily breaded but had good taste and the eggrolls would have been good if they were fresh but it looked like they had been cooked and re-breaded and cooked again. Very greasy.
Currently take-out only. In foyer you can smell and hear the food cooking. Pre-ordered Deluxe Chow Mein, and Tofu and Beef with Vegetables, both generously portioned and delicious. Food was ready in 20 minutes. At home I added Sriracha for extra heat and was pleased with the freshness of the stir-fried vegetables. When indoor seating is available I will gladly join in.
Good service. Orange chicken is the best in town. Always consistent and quick service. Fair prices. A must try.
