First off, the atmosphere and service was phenomenal. My friend and I had a wonderful time. The food was great, I loved the cucumber water. Green tea was awesome. Prices are pretty similar to any other sushi places in the area, but the portions are a bit smaller. I generally get miso soup and 2 rolls. I always save most of the second roll for a snack. Last night I ate both rolls I ordered with no problem and ordered a 3rd to bring home. So, good food, but small portions.
We went last Saturday for date night, the place was packed! definitely worth calling ahead to get a reservation. Although it was very busy, I felt the staff did an amazing job ensuring our needs were met, always stopping in to check on us, waters filled (delicious cucumber water!). We spent about 80$ on our sushi dinner, but it was probably the freshest sushi I’ve ever tasted! I also really enjoyed being able to see the chef’s make our food through the bar. Definitely will come again!
I'm dazzled. We came here on an impromptu date, choosing this location over others for their selection for non-fish lovers and I picked a nice tame beef house special while my honey had a dinner bento box with oodles of fish. Both meals were visually impressive when they came out, and more food than we were expecting. I made the server giggle after the third time in a row saying "it's gorgeous." Conversation about the amazing food and ambience dominated our date. Lemme tell you, that was an experience all in itself! We'll be back.
The sushi is amazing! But if you want to call for a takeout order you may or may not beat my record of calling 53 times in a row to try to get someone to answer the phone.
This is what $100 gets you at Izumi. Honestly I’m not impressed. This is 4 rolls of sushi and one order of dumplings. This place is super stingy with their ingredients. Portions are very small, especially for the price. The fish in the sushi is minced so finely it’s almost a whipped consistency. It tastes okay, but is definitely more bland than I’m used to and the wasabi is terrible it has no flavor. Next time I’m craving sushi I’ll make the drive to Sushi house on Trent where one roll will actually fill you up, won’t cost a ton, and is super flavorful. I don’t have any idea how this place has such high ratings. 10/10 on the scale of disappointment.
Was seated quickly, friendly service. Food was outstanding - fresh, tasty, prepared well! We got 3 sushi rolls (I don't eat those but they really loved the Flaming Volcano), Tangerine Beef, and Chicken Chow Mein.
Our dinner menu consisted of the following items ordered: Soft Shell Crab Roll (Amazing), Lobster Roll (Extra Amazing) the chef smiled with completing a modification of "no spice products," and two (2) orders of Authentic Orange Chicken (Hit the pallet with ease of a simple spice, and full flavor." The Lobster was cooked perfect. The elegant taste of the lobster was so yummy. I have never had any restaurant in Spokane, Washington cook lobster so delicately, tasty and perfectly done. "Thank you for that!" The Soft Shell Crab roll was evenly portioned for a full taste of crab, cucumber, masago on top. The eel sauce that is plated under the roll is so delicious. The tempura was not heavy. The orange chicken was so good. The boys loved every bite making a comment after each bite of "the great taste, perfect season, true color." The price point here is not high, and you do not always need a reservation. You can make one online. The Waitress was so kind, and the chefs were kind too. The establishment is very very clean. I will be ordering alot. Thank you again for a wonderful experience, your lesson of the menu, and patience with our "first time orders." We will be back!
Sushi was really yummy. Service was excellent. It's a lil on the pricey side but worth every penny.

Wait staff was kind and prompt! The sushi rolls were ok, nothing to get too excited over. We ordered 6 different rolls, all came out beautiful and fresh looking! The flavor wow, was lacking for me.Avaocado roll⭐⭐⭐(good ratios), Catapillar⭐⭐, Spicy Salmon⭐⭐, Naruto⭐⭐⭐, and 2 others.... (of course my fave I can't remember!)
