I’m really saddened because I wish I liked this place. The people working were nice enough but the food was not good. If you’re a meat eater you might like it (although it was a little salty!) but the tofu was awful. I’ve been a vegetarian on and off for seven years and I’ve never disliked something this much :( i was literally served a salty but somehow bland block of lukewarm(!!!) tofu. My dad took a bite and said “I thought it would be hot.” Lmao. Anyways, if you eat meat you’ll like it, the mochiko chicken was fine, but if you don’t eat meat steer clear—Mac salad was alright if not a little flavorless and the side salad was fine.
Loved the experience. The Teriyaki chicken came a little to wet and saucy, but the good taste made up for it. I got grilled veggies on the side which were great, but the portion was a little too small in my opinion. Overall the service was top teir, food was pretty good, and even though it was a bit pricey, the serving size for the main course was pretty big; enough left over for a second meal.
Everything about this visit was phenomenal. We came in and were greeted immediately. The cashier was a charismatic gentleman and was very helpful with our questions. I got the mochiko chicken and my boyfriend got teriyaki chicken. It was kind of spendy but the amount of food we got was plentiful. I personally found it filling and delicious. Happy we stopped in ♡
Great place to just chill and grab a bite to eat with some friends. I got have a friend that's helps out there. Had some Hawaiian pork soft tacos and they were really good. They added extra soft tacos to help with how much juice came out from the pork. Also got some Mac salad on the side and it had a great zippy spice to it! Really neat that there is a bar next door and there is a hallway in between them which is quite neat.
At 1pm 05-03-2022 we came into the restaurant. No other customers at all. Every table obviously filthy with actual food/crumbs. Got to the counter, told no shrimp or hamburger. Ordered steak tacos and pork tacos. After we order, go to the pop machine. The stainless steel counter was disgusting as it had dry soda all over it but FOOTPRINTS!!! actual dirty sticky shoe prints, I assume the person who fills the ice portion of the pop machine. We sit and wait for at least 20 minutes, as two other customers come in and order, both receiving their food before ours. Then once the food arrived it is soo soggy we could not pick up the tacos to eat them. The steak had decent flavor, but so charred and tough it was not easy to eat. The pork tacos have zero flavor. Maybe a touch of smoke, but not sweet flavored pork as expected from a place touting Hawaiian BBQ. We will not be back, as the dining area floor was just as dirty as the tables. And it smelled of stinky stale carpet soaked in beer. Clean that place. We will stick with Aloha Grill. It was just filthy honestly. Nobody in the place you should be cleaning the darn tables.
Absolutely love hang 10! To see some of these reviews is heart breaking coming from me, another Hawaiian from Hawaii! The food is ONO , the NEW management is the definition of pure aloha the HEAD chef himself is from kohala , BIG ISLAND , HAWAII and cooks with nothing but dignity and pride, I ate there today and frequently with my friends and even spoke with the chef himself who upholds the definition of aloha! they have local Hawaiian/ reggae music playing for you to vibe with while you enjoy your plate, it’s friendly a environment &’ once you leave your stomach will be so full you’ll want to take a nap! this new management is doing big things and you should stick around for it! They had a special of pork n peas a couple weeks ago &’ it was FIRE! I tried the sweet potato fries and requested garlic aioli and I will never not eat it that way! It was so good not to mention the pickled onions made my mouth water by smelling it :) , and the Teri chicken &’ kalua gave me a very homie feeling as I’ve been missing Hawaii! This is the place you want to eat and check out, although it is not a fast food restaurant it’s worth the wait , and while you wait you can check out the wall paintings and things hung up or engage in a conversation with the staff!!!
Finally a Hawaiian spot with flava!! Had the loco moco which was huge and sooo good. Also had a great spin on spam fried rice. Very tasty food , will definitely be going back and ordering more off their menu. Great job Hang ten!!!!
I am native Hawaiian the food here is awful you have no idea how to cook pork Hawaiian style. This is NOT Hawaiian food. . . where is the poi? Ahi poke limukohu? Kalolo? I wasted money here. The rice was horrible also and do not get me started on your mac salad. This is a washed down version of our food...if you want to use words like Hawaiian with such privilege have the decency to keep it authentic.
Just ordered through uber eats, very tasty and huge portions! I'm not a good judge of authenticity but my taste buds are pleased.
I love the food! It's really hard to find a place in Spokane that has good island food, so this was a cool find. I love that it tastes just like the plate lunches I would buy from church fundraisers back in Hawaii! Takes me back home for a little bit when I eat here.
