Have you ever paid 3.50 for a side of toast? Owner is pushing it and there is a ceiling for prices Probably won't go again. Not ready to paying 23 ÷ tip for breakfast
We love going to Franks as its a very friendly diner and good service. Today was very disappointing with the food and the quantity. We normally split a meal my wife and I as we don't have a very big appetite. We noticed that the meal was quite smaller and not the usual portion. I believe the price stayed the same but, not sure on that. Its sad to see that things are going in the wrong direction for us folks that look forward to a good meal at a decent price.
Great experience as always! They never disappoint. Both of our servers were great, asked all the right questions, without being too over the top and in your face. Even after forgetting stuff they almost instantly remembered and went and grabbed us our stuff that they missed when bringing out the original order. Food tasted great as it always does, highly recommend the peppercorn steak, the sauce it comes with goes with almost anything from potatoes, fries, bread, or steak! Overall great staff, great atmosphere with alot of great food choices.
I am so surprised at this place! Being that it was a diner, I expected average food but I was super impressed! Everyone I was with enjoyed their meal. Our servers were great! I can’t remember which Omelet I got but it was the one with hollandaise caper sauce - it was delicious! My mother in law got biscuits to go and they were seriously buttery and the bottom was crispy. Better than a Popeyes biscuit!
My mom and I met for breakfast and everything about our meal was perfect. One of my favorite parts of this eatery is the huge menu. You are not limited to ordering breakfast during certain hours or sandwiches only after 10am. My body wanted something less traditional and more deli style. Although the Orange Cranberry French Toast was looking extremely tempting, the Boar Bacon Club was calling to me. I was so happy with my choice. The sandwich was stacked high with my favorite ingredients making it absolutely delicious. It toally hit the spot. The servers were very attentive and worked as a team. They all helped one another clear plates and refill drinks. We almost never had to ask for anything. It was exactly how dining out should be. Our experience was wonderful and we were very happy with Frank's Diner on the northside. This is always a great option in my book. Thanks so much for rocking it!!
It's inside a beautifully refurbished Great Northern railroad car. Our breakfast was fabulous, and the people are all so nice. Highly recommended!!
Frank's Diner has been my go to place for breakfast which I will eat no matter the time of day. My absolute favorite menu item is their eggs benedict which is typically amazing, unless you order using their takeout service. Today I used takeout and received a plate of eggs benedict which consisted of essentially hard boiled eggs, soggy english muffins, overcooked canadian bacon and barely enough hollandaise sauce to cover any of these mistakes. I also got a side of shredded plain potatoes. Not only that, I was told it would take 10ish minutes but ended up waiting 30 minutes for it. I took a few bites but I guess even though I was hungry, I wasn't hungry enough for this garbage of a meal. $15 down the drain. Sorry Frank's, I think it's going to be awhile before I give you another try!
Great. Frank's Diner is just great. The food was great. The staffing was exceptionally friendly and efficient. The historic RR dining car offers an unique dining experience. All was Great.
I used to love coming here but I really feel that the taste of the food has certainly decreased. They do have a good menu but my hash browns were not crisp at all, the link sausage was on the cool temp side and the gravy on the hash browns was bland.
This place is beautiful inside. Woodwork you just don't see anymore. Such fantastic atmosphere! And the menu is unique. Crispy Duck Bacon..hopefully I try it my next visit.I had the Irish Benedict. Rye with corned beef egg and sauce...Winner. Would you like gravy and onion on your hash browns? Heck yeah!Coffee cup never was empty, too.I can't wait to go back!
