just homemade food. definately doesn't taste like other chicken chains

Amazing food and amazing workers❤️ Even when understaffed they do what they can. Sometimes I feel like people forget workers are human and not perfect. If you come here to eat, the bone in chicken is amazing! Takes a while to cook but is fresh and worth it. The Cajun fries and mashed potato’s and gravy are to die for. And the Mac and cheese and potato salad are also so fricken good. Prices are expensive but so worth it! Everything is practically made homemade and with hard work. Thank you ezell’s workers for coming in every day and doing the best you can do. ❤️❤️❤️
Walked in and got some really good chicken and sides served up in a hurry. Chicken was great! Buns super good. Potato salad and mashers and gravy were good. Bummed there was no peach cobbler though. Would try again.
Picked up my to go order and had a little bite in the car before I drove off. Realized it was spicy and not regular like I ordered. Went back in and let them know it was wrong and they immediately took the food that I had just touched and eaten off of and put it back in with the food they were about to give to other customers. I was like “Wait no don’t do that I ate off that!” And so he then took it back out and threw it in the trash. There were two other workers who saw and they didn’t say anything. Soooo gross. Honestly the food here is delicious and that’s why I go back, but the service is consistently horrendous. They don’t answer their phone after like 6pm ever cause they don’t want to have to take to go orders. Then if you actually go in within an hour of them closing they refuse to make what you order if they’re out even if you’re okay with waiting 15 min for it to cook cause they want to close the fryers down early. You’re lucky if your order is right; about 50% of the times I’ve gone there (or ordered from. DoorDash) it’s wrong. I still go here cause the food is so good, but like I said the service is consistently some of the worst I’ve experienced.
I have loved this chicken for years! Sweet potato pie is amazing too. Some of the sides can be not so great though… Service is hit and miss.Just tonight we were careful to show up 40 minutes before close, ordered, and when we got it 10 minutes later they told us they were closing so we could not eat inside. We were on our way to Target across the parking lot right away so had to eat our meal on a sidewalk bench right outside their doors in the rain 1/2 hr before their closing time. Also watched them send a customer home refusing hlm service - that showed up 25 minutes before close and they had several piles of chicken left visibly. Forgot to give us any utensils or napkins, mashed potatoes inedible tasting like chemical or something?
First time going here, I was hesitant because of the reviews but was told by a family member it was good. I call in to order a 16 peice family dinner and ask if it will be made fresh, the representative explains they have some made so I did not have to pre order and there would be no wait. So I drive up to the location (I live on the north side). I pull in at 7:04pm and order, I was told it would be 10-12 min which was not a big deal at all. So I wait and wait and wait, at 7:42 an employee calls out to me and says "are you number 79, sorry about the wait, it will be 10 minutes" I then continue to wait some more, after 10 minutes I go up and ask what is taking so long, he tells me the reason is because one of my sides is mac and cheese and they are making it, I then ask "so has the rest of my food been sitting in bags for the last 50 min?" He replies with "most of it, but we can make the rest fresh if you would like"..... I was so furious. Had I been told the Mac and cheese was the hold up I 100% would have just chosen a different side. What a shame as it was my first time here and I even told a couple of the employees it was my first time. I asked for a refund, a manager came out and refunded me. He did not ask me about my experience or if there was anything he could do for me. Unfortunately I am not able to rate the food as I did not eat anything, but am giving my rating simply for my experience.

Damn fine chicken! What else can you say...? I used to eat at the Ezell's in the Central District when I lived in Seattle and this branch is a welcome addition to Spokane's fried chicken offerings. The side are solid too.
The spicy chicken is the best. Service is great and the music is on point. The sides are always fresh and hot! I wish they would bring back the old BBQ sauce that they had when they first opened, but it's all good.
