Wow! Absolutely amazing food. Great ambience. Best service I've had hands down. Pretzel was delicious. All the sausage is made in house. I can't recommend this place enough. Truly a gem in spokane. Will be back!

Brat in bun was great. A little smaller than other German venues, but tasted great. See photo for what was about a $13 dish. No complaints as the food was worth the price imo.Waitress was fast serving & had great customer service. Food came out without much wait. The lemonade is highly recommended, and there are different flavors of it. Overall great experience in a super clean venue.Waitress got to mention other options of to-go foods (as they sell brats by pound among other items), while not forcibly doing so. Grade A service.I hope to come back and enjoy the selection of German beers and other menu items. Definitely a place you want to check out!

This is spokanes only full sit down german style restaurant and whilst it has been modified to fit americans tastebuds overall it still falls pretty tried and true to all of the german food i have had whilst traveling Germany. They also have a vast array of alcohol and beirs and the staff is truly one of a kind and friendly. I really love their pretzel and biercheese but have also loved the bratwurst sampler as an app and equally enjoyed it. My favorite is just the traditional schnitzel with spatzel and red cabbage with a side of the german potato salad. Ive also always enjoyed their split pea and ham soup, barly and beef, potato soup, etc! They have a lemon cake that is incredible for desert or the apple strudel. The pricing is more then fair and reasonable the portion sizes are lovely and i love that you can even take home brats, spatzel, german potato salad etc by the container full for a fair price. I always enjoy myself when i go and take home yummy leftovers for the next day!

Love this place! German food is one of my favorite cuisines, and I am glad to have this restaurant here to bring delicious German cuisine to Spokane! The older woman who works here is very friendly and hospitable, and they have a nice selection of dishes to choose from! I had their Bratwurst combo with German potato salad, which was very delicious! The brats were grilled nicely and paired well with the mustard, spätzle, and sauerkraut, and the potato salad made for a delicious side dish! I have yet to try their schnitzel, Sauerbraten, and Kasëspätzle, which I really want to try! I will definitely be back!

The first time I visited this restaurant, the owner and staff were friendly yet reserved. This is ordinary for those who are German or of German heritage. The owner and I conversed regarding her accent and which town in Germany was once her home. Her accent is authentically German. The restaurant is cleaner than many. The service is excellent and unobtrusive. I've only eaten here three times so far, but each time I am welcomed with smiles and professionalism. This restaurant would pass a white glove test for it's cleanliness. That's amazing to see consistently in the restaurant business. As far as I can tell, the German fare offered is fresh from the farm. The sauerkraut is made in house. The breads are fresh baked. Any noodles are also freshly made in their kitchen. All produce and meats are from the family's farms. I asked. The owner is very honest. To see a review that claimed Das Stein House isn't authentically German is nonsense. It couldn't be more authentic than to have someone born in Germany own it.

A new place for me, but I don't find myself in the 5-mile area much. Our (excellent) waitress suggested the Holzfaller, which is 2 eggs, jagerschnitzel, and choice of bratwurst (I opted for the house version), along with either potatoes pancakes or hashbrowns (I asked for a 1/2 serving of the hashbrowns). WOW!!! The house mushroom/onion gravy on the jagerschnitzel is incredible! Generous portions of really a good breakfast??? What's not to like! You need to try this if you like German cuisine. I'll be back.

Any of the great tasting schnitzels will more than fill you up. And on this cold day I thoroughly enjoyed the hot buttered rum. Taking home the delicious apple strudel is just plain smart.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The food was straight out of Bavaria and the owner was friendly and made us feel like we were family. Will definitely be back.

Love the authentic German food ? and beer! But I come also on occasion for the karaoke on Friday/Saturdays from 8- midnight. Even the bartender had a beautiful voice.

This place was great! Good food, good atmosphere n decor and great service! Reasonable prices and portions. Both ladies serving were super friendly n we never had to ask for anything, she was on top it all.
