This place came highly recommended, so we went without a reservation. Immediately walking in, we noticed almost every table was vacant. The host - who I am pretty sure was the manager- gave us a snide look and asked if we had reservations. When we told him no, he put off a vibe of : well your lucky you’re here and then proceeded to tell us the only place he had was a small table by the bar. We love bars, so that was good. We got downstairs - which also had plenty of vacant tables and sat ourselves at the bar. The food we ordered and the drinks were “ok” nothing to write home about for the prices. The bartender had an attitude the size of Texas, as if waiting on us was such a wonderful privilege we were experiencing. All in all I would never recommend this restaurant. The attitudes of the staff that we had were just not something I would go back to, no matter what the food tasted like!

I was in town with my parents for my master's graduation from Gonzaga on Mother's Day. From what I'd read, this would be a great special occasion restaurant for dinner, especially since my parents enjoy steaks. This was a terrible decision on my part that I still regret. We got there a little before our 8pm reservation. Most of the tables were empty which I thought was a little strange. The service was pretty bad all around. It was hard to pin down our waiter and a real challenge to get refills. He took away our bread plates when our salads came out (a wedge salad, pretty basic but just awful in execution) and we had to ask for our bread and plates again later. And it was so underwhelming - think frozen yeast rolls from the grocery store served at room temperature. Once our food finally came out, we were all surprised. A small dollop of mashed potatoes and like 7 little snap peas. My parents had ordered their steak medium well and it was super bloody. When my mom pointed this out to the waiter, he recommended my mom eat the ends of the steak which would be more done. Even I was taken aback by that. My dad didn't argue and ate the bloody chunk of cow because he was starving. It was especially disappointing to hear good waiters interact and educate their tables very near us. We felt we really lost out on that experience. I'd heard they had a good signature dessert but we'd had enough of this place and opted to go to Dairy Queen instead. Yes, Dairy Queen for Peanut Buster Parfaits -- and it was the best thing we ate that night. The only time we got attentive service worthy of such a fancy place was when I decided that 20-30 minutes of staring at dirty dishes was enough and I asked the maitre d' to get someone to clear them away. We were swarmed by several waiters in seconds and had a clean table directly. Our waiter was all over us after that, but it didn't make up for the previous 90 minutes. I don't know if I'll make it back to Spokane (although I hope so!), but I do know I will never go here again. I feel like my and my mom's special day was tarnished by our well-meaning failure of a visit here. I knew it was fancy and expensive and expected something like the nationally-famous and celebrated steakhouse in my hometown. I was so wrong. I don't know if it's always like this, if our waiter was a dud, or because we weren't wearing suits and dresses and our finest furs. I wish other potential diners well....but also warn you that you may not get much more than disappointment and a high bill here.

Churchills was a great experience. The food was amazing and the staff just as wonderful. Enjoyed every moment. If you like steak this is probably the place in Spokane to go. The atmosphere is elegant. They used to have a cigar bar in the basement but Washington has apparently decided not to allow that anymore. Highly recommend

Found this place on Trip Advisor and wife and I ate our anniversary dinner there. She had the Oso Buco and I had the fillet. Both meats were cooked perfectly and were tender as butter. Trevor, our waiter, was first class, professional, and friendly. This is a classy, upscale restaurant. Highly recommend it for a special occasion.

I went to this restaurant with great excitement and expectations. Me and my wife's first time and frankly the steak was the worst cooked I have ever had. While it was cooked correctly on the inside the outside of the steak was burned and that ruined what was for the most part a pleasurable experience. I won't be eating the steak if I ever go here again. Considering the cost a properly cooked steak and what is considered by many Spokanes premier steakhouse is not to much to ask.

Had an absolutely amazing dining experience the other day. Things started long before with them calling to confirm my reservation and ask if I had any special instructions etc. Arrived and was seated immediately and met waiter (John) and waitress (Chelsea). This was our first time to a steakhouse so they brought out the platter of meats and explained the difference between each cut. It was incredibly helpful and they answered every question we had. Got the Iceberg lettuce wedge for an appetizer, SO GOOD! Definitely split it though. New York strip steak for dinner was absolutely amazing, perfectly cooked and great flavor. I advise getting a side to go with the steak though :)Finally for dessert I got the Chocolate sack which was absolutely amazing. 10/10 experience. This is not a place to go everyday, so don't expect it to be cheap. The prices are very reasonable for the service and quality you receive. It is truly a unique experience for Spokane :)

Fresh crisp wedge salad with delicious toppings. Huge tasty shrimp cocktail. Nice lobster portion excellent preparation. The rib eye was a perfect piece of prime beef with great crust on a perfect medium as ordered. The Mac and cheese side is a great accompaniment. Attentive friendly service. Reasonable prices.

Just a necessary post-pandemic update. I really like dining at Churchill's but the quality of steak dinners has no consistency unlike Spencer's. I have had exceptional meals as well as exceptionally mediocre meals, really just a roll of the dice. The wait service has never been what I would consider exceptional. Pre or post pandemic service has always been friendly but never above average. Price points should also be updated, steaks are now $40 - $95 and chicken can come in at $35. All in all a pleasant evening can be had here, but it is by no means the #1 steakhouse in Spokane.

Exceptional experience! We had the best server (Cheryl?) who made us feel welcome and her recommendations helped us select the perfect meal for a special occasion. The steak, Seabass, mac and cheese, creamed corn and the tiramisu were all perfect! We’ll definitely be back to try out some other recommendations by her.
