“Missed it by that much.” This restaurant is practically a Spokane landmark and has been here for decades, so clearly, people like to eat here. The food isn’t bad, but it’s not great and that’s a shame because it could be. The food is bland. Maybe this is a simply a result of the typically bland Spokane palate and this restaurant seasons their food according to what “most” customers like? The other issue is that although my food arrived fairly quickly after I ordered, it was not hot. It was lukewarm. That’s a real problem. Chinese food should arrive at your table piping-hot. Not sure if they keep the lunch menu items under a heat lamp for fast service or what - but it was a disappointment. There was only one other party inside at peak lunch time. The restaurant is clean and service was attentive and friendly and prices were very reasonable. Again, the food was OK, but certainly not great. This place has potential but they will most definitely have to up their game.
Service was good. Wasn't busy at all. Food was mediocre, lukewarm by the time it came out. Not impressed.
I went to Chinese Gardens and had a nice lunch.Very clean and my waitress gets 5⭐️My egg flower soup was just like warm and there was too much gravy on my almond chicken and egg foo young. I will ask for less next time.
I ordered on door dash for this meal. With a $5 tip cost me $33. This amount of food is astonishingly small for that price. The BBQ pork you see is one of the three foods I selected for this Pick Three Combo Dinner. I at least expected them to put more in the container. Multiple other places for that price will give much more food. It is tasty yes I will give them that. But honestly a waste of money. unless you want to buy over priced food, I'd recommend going somewhere else. Never have I been this disappointed by an Asian cuisine restaurant before.
My family and I went in last night for dinner . We were the only table in the restaurant. They were busy with to go orders . We sat for between 5 and 10 minutes before asked what we wanted to drink . Made our order at the same time . Appetizers came out quick broth in our soup was cold but the wonton was hot . Took 1/2 to get the rest of our order . It looked good but was COLD and I mean not even luke warm. They offered to microwave it for us. The price for what we received was extremely high. I would not recommend
Nothing stood out here. Looks like a cheesy 1980's martial arts film on the inside but clean. The food was pretty bland American style and pretty small portions for what you pay. Pretty sad when Panda has more flavor and tastes fresher.
Food was excellent best Chinese in town special chow mein sweet and sour chicken almond chicken it's the g2 substitute pork for chicken
I took my beautiful Mother in to have a nice lunch. The food was very very good, but the poor waitress was literally all alone up in the (WHOLE) dinning room!! She was acting as (the hostess, the waitress, the bussboy, & the manager!!! The only other employees where the chefs???? Other than that mixup, everything was great, (I would highly recommend the veggie fried rice, & we had there (egg fu young) ?????? it was SOOOOOO good ??!! I would tell my worst enemy to go eat here, thats how amazing it is!! Thank you CHINESE GARDENS, I will be sharing this experience with all my friends & family, & encouraging them all to go try it out!! (Oh I forgot, the food comes out (SUPER FAST!!) which I love, I don't like sitting with my people & waiting for 45mins for our food. I understand that there are places that have a whole thing, where they literally want to make you wait, then they put on "like me a mini show of sorts" just to give you (1appatiser) then they bring about 4/8 dishes all at different times, & that's all to d n fun, but for a different time n place!! Go check out the CHINESE GARDENS, (GREAT FOOD, SUPER FAST SERVICE!! WIN ? WIN!!!)
My husband had a work lunch from here and got his normal General Tso chicken. He said it was his favorite so far in all of Spokane or the Valley. I was skeptical but he brought home leftovers that I tried. I loved the breading style they used and the veggies mixed in were also really good. Spice level was fine and taste was excellent. I ate a bite that was cold (I am not a fan of cold Chinese leftovers normally but just wanted a bite) and it was so good cold the next day too! I can’t wait to order my usual fav here next time we get take out
I appreciate the service, but the food wasn't up to standard
