Catfish and sweet potato tater tots were quite good
I always give my honest review on places we go eat at. We had high hopes for this place, and we were so excited to have southern food. Unfortunately the food was not at all what we thought it would be. The chicken tastes like it was a pre frozen type chicken, and the roll was just a pre packaged dinner roll, from what it tasted like. We ordered over the phone at 5:30 p.m. To pick it up at 6:00 p.m. we arrived and still had to wait, because it wasn't ready yet. The menu isn't the same as what the prices and sides say they are online, The amount of food you get for the price, was definitely not worth it. We paid a few dollars shy of $40 for what is pictured. Definitely won't eat here again.
This place is pretty amazing. I went with the rib and chicken combo, and added an extra thigh ($1.50) so that I could split that meal with my gf.The portions were amazing, the ribs were fantastic, and the chicken was hot and juicy. Amazing vibe with the people working there, and the ambiance was very OG. Definitely recommend.
I love this place! I’ve been going here for years ever since I went to high school at Lewis & Clark downtown. We used to walk all the way down just to get their chicken sandwich and I just found out that all of the students got it so often that they actually named the sandwich after us. The “Tiger” chicken sandwich because we were the Lewis & Clark Tigers. ? The owners are awesome and this is a true family owned establishment. They’ll continue to get my and my family’s support! Highly recommend you won’t be disappointed with anything on the menu from Catfish with Hush Puppies and Collard Greens to a 3 Piece Chicken mean with mashed potatoes and gravy. The ribs are amazing too.
First off, this place was recommended by a co-worker. My family and I visited this place and immediately got flashbacks of being home in the midwest were people really know how to bbq. Being from Kansas City our bbq standards are very high. We got there around 7:30 and we had a chance to chat with the owers family and it was really refreshing to be in this place. The food was amazing and we can't wait to go back. I had the chicken dinner and my wife had the brisket sandwich. All of it was great even the sides. like i said, can't wait to go back. #bestholeinwallinSPK
I recommend you try this place when visiting Spokane Washington, the food was delicious. Dad ordered their Friday Special: Catfish dinner with baked beans and collard greens. He described the food “on point” I ordered the 2 piece chicken with mashed potatoes, delicioso! My daughter ordered the pulled pork sandwich, bbq had a spicy kick, delicious. Thank you!
Great customer service, nice atmosphere! Visiting from Florida, and thought I would give this spot a try, not horrible but definitely not worth the price. Gravy for Mashed Potatoes not good at all, the chicken is basic fried chicken( another review said it taste like Banquet, and I agree), the greens taste as if they came straight out the can, definitely not out of your grandmas kitchen, however the coleslaw, wedges, and dinner roll was satisfying. If you EVER visit Orlando, FL please try Old Dixie Fried Chicken, absolutely no comparison, real southern fried chicken!
Great experience. They were busy first thing in the morning. They treated us like they were not. They were fantastic and the food was fantastic. Cannot wait to go back. I had the three bone ribs and roll. I also had a gumbo and it was all fantastic. Thank you for the hospitality.
Go to place for soul food. I ordered the tiger patty was good, and the sides are always fire. Love the food next time ill try the rib dinner.
I'm addicted to their bbq sauce. I literally bought 40 dollars worth to keep a hoard for all my bbq needs. Also their fried chicken and red beans and rice with sweet potatoe pie is life.
