I ordered two chicken tacos; easy, what could go wrong. After waiting a half hour after ordering, the food arrived cold. The taco shells were soggy and had to scrape the chicken out to mix with the rice and beans. My colleague ordered enchiladas and they were cold. Overall, the flavors, even if warm and crispy, were terrible. The owners have to be Aztec, as they sacrificed anything of quality and I had to sacrifice my time and hard earned money for this garbage. I haven't been there in years, but Taco Bell sounds more mouthwatering, especially at this price.
This restaurant hits the marks if you know what you're getting into: it's important to note that Azteca is a "Tex-Mex" restaurant and as such will stray a bit from the "authentic" Mexican food. That said - the food is good and the portions generous. Add to that the very fair pricing and Azteca is a restaurant worth the drive if you are jonesing for some Tex-Mex.
They food here is pretty good. Not fantastic, but good. It wasn't very busy when I was here but the food took an extremely long time to come out. It has a nice interior and friendly people.
Our meal was so good! We traveled from southern Arizona and looked forward to a great meal! Noel and Lindsey took great care of us! After being out of the area for 12 years it was so nice to see Noel again! Lindsey was awesome! Thanks!
I,ve been here two times now and have to say the food is wonderful and service is great. We brought the whole family and love it. Great Mexican food. Best I've found in town. Highly recommend the queso absolutely delicious.
They messed up our order and the waitress excuse was "they don't know how to read", obviously being sarcastic. We had to send a plate back due to the taste and poor quality and the owner didn't want to take the full meal off of the ticket because some of the beans and rice were eaten. We sent it back after having to wait an additional 10 minutes because they made it wrong the first time.
The mole enchiladas are very strong flavored with chipotle, and moderately sweet in a good way. Salsa has exceptional flavor, but lacks heat. Rice was sufficient, but beans are tasteless.
We use to live in the Valley and had very few problems with the valley location. Tonight will be the 2nd time in a row we ordered a to go order and our order was completely messed up!!!!! We’ve had other issues with this restaurant in the past but nothing like the last 2 orders!! We live in Deer Park so it’s not convenient to just turn around and go back to Spokane to resolve the issue!!! Probably won’t be back even tho for well over 20 years Azteca has been my kids and wife’s favorite Mexican restaurant in Spokane!!! What a difference just a location makes!!
We'd never eaten there and decided to give it a try. The salsa lacked flavor besides tomato flavor. My chicken tacos were incredibly dry and if it wasn't for the lime wedge on my plate, there would be no flavor at all. My husband's steak burrito was juicy and had flavor but not the kind one expects at a Mexican restaurant. No spices at all. Sadly, we are scratching this on off the list.
Food was plain tbh, fish tacos were good but not great not much flavor, shells break way to easy. Rice had no flavor and margaritas were terrible! Just taste like mix. For how much they charge on things overall it was bad. Their Mojitos need work doesn’t taste like it should at all.
