I can't say enough good things about our experience here!! Would highly recommend for any special occasion! We went to celebrate my husband's birthday and everything was PERFECT!! Delicious food, tasty wine, beautiful music and wonderful people! Ashley and Katie were so great at making recommendations for food/wine and just great to chat with!! And bonus points that all the wines are sourced from Blanc & Rouge right up the street, so we were able to go buy some of the wines we loved!! Looking forward to our next visit!

This place is amazing. A total hidden gem! Delicious food that they pair excellently. I will be coming here again.

Instant fans and we will be back over and over again. It's a prix fix menu but with choices and upgrades available. And the price is completely fair for what is being served. In fact most similar places in town would cost the same when you consider apps, entrees and dessert. We loved every dish. We loved the service. We loved the wine pairing. Plus they can sell wine (and dessert wine) by the glass but that isn't advertised. Try it you won't be disappointed.

*Many of the dishes are already photographed in other reviews so I’m adding a photo of a finished dessert and the Chef, Joel. The service was spectacular, personable, and professional. The team is extremely knowledgable in wine and of course, food. The presentation of each plate was immaculate. Some of the best food I have ever had and easily the best food in all of the Snohomish valley. Try this restaurant before it is impossible to get a reservations. Altogether, the experience was unforgettable and we will be back!

We had a lovely meal at Chef Behind the Curtain. All of the food was delicious, well balanced, interesting. The wines were great and staff super friendly. Very cozy atmosphere, perfect for a date night. We made the drive from Seattle and will be doing so again in the future.

Love this establishment! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming – Showed up without a reservation (my date had one – I snuck in at the spur of the moment) but they didn’t mind.Love trying new things or food prepared in a way I’ve never tried; and the meal, presentation, and wine pairing for every course was amazing. Chef Joel doesn’t make anything that is average.I encourage anyone that hasn’t been to The Chef Behind the Curtain to try it!

Dining at Chef Behind The Curtain feels like you're being served world-class cuisine in your best friends' dining room.Chef Joel's food is focused and creative, and he demonstrates a level of technique that is on par with (if not exceeds) the top restaurants in the greater Seattle area. Their hospitality is warm, personable, and makes you want to "rent a table" and stay for hours. Joel and his partner Katie , who runs the front of house, strive to source most of their ingredients from within a 100-mile radius of Snohomish, so the menu is hyper-seasonal and showcases Northwest produce. I've been craving his artichoke and white truffle soup for the last three days. I attended with a large group, so I was able to taste multiple dishes from each course. You really can't go wrong with any of the items on this pre fixe menu. Also, Joel's desserts are showstoppers, even if you typically steer away from the sweets. This place is a gem, and I'm very excited to watch them grow. Make a reservation; the space is intimate!

The detail that goes into each course here really blew us away! The wine pairings were a nice touch too. It was a great laid back and welcoming atmosphere. We can't wait to go back and treat ourselves.

What can I say, it was a 745pm reservation and at the last minute I went from a 1 guest to a 2 guest table and they were smiles no matter what I’m sure grumbling in the background. However Joel and Staff were more than accommodating and just the most lovely people to deal with, especially since I order for 2 people with different dishes and my date ordered for himself. I wanted full experience of wines and all the food and it did not disappoint. The chef came out and sat and laughed and we talked about ingredients and food overall. I highly recommend this place as a date night or just for a great meal. Joel and staff understand casual chic and how to please your palate. I can’t believe this is in Snohomish County! It is a must go to see and taste.

Nothing short of amazing. This is a true fine dining experience. Authentic - Creative - Adventurous -Friendly -Brilliant ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
