2 stars is generous. Where do I start. First off, my mom is in a wheelchair and when I asked if they were ADA accessible they said no. So, we had to carry her down the stairs. Come to find our there is a back entrance. Secondly, we waited 45minutes for the server to even speak to us. Dirty table and drink menu was sticky. 3 tables ordered and got their food before we even got water. We made our order finally and naturally it was wrong. We ordered French toast and got crepes. Asked for 2 extra plates for sharing and got a dirty broken plate. Then we ordered the biscuits and gravy...the biscuit was not cooked nor were the potatoes but the scrambled eggs were BURNT. I meani guess at least they were cooked. Tried to alert the server to this and by she finally came back we told her she also forgot our bloody Mary's. ? so 1 hour and 27 minutes later with no fixing of our order we got up and told the hostess we were leaving. However, I did purchase a giant cinnamon roll. If it's good I'll update. Otherwise this place is definitely not worth the drive, time, or price.

Was taken here by my friends who live here and …wow!! You could smell the cinnamon rolls from the parking lot. Their bread is so soft and heavenly and everything we had was delicious. Had the breakfast sandwich and wow was it full of flavor. Couldn’t even finish it. And the staff is so kind and courteous. Definitely check them out when you’re in town!!

I was hesitant about this place - worried it was going to be overrated and more of a nostalgic place for locals. Glad I was wrong !We got here at 9:00 and put our name on this list- pleasantly surprised that we were called to the table 5 minutes later! This place is packed !Service was slow at first but we didn’t mind- we were enjoying ourselves. Our server was awesome. My iced white chocolate mocha was super yummy. On the sweeter side.I got the Swedish pancakes with fruit and creme fraiche, and while so good, also so BIG. Couldn’t finish half of it even.I don’t have any complaints and would come back again.

Maltby's is about a 5 minute drive from Paradise Valley Conservation Area Trail. After spending almost two hours exploring the trails, we decided to stop at Maltby's and see how big is big in regards to their cinnamon rolls...When you're serving a cinnamon roll, ONE cinnamon roll, on a dinner plate and there's hardly any white space left, I guess that's big! Lol. Easily shareable with two people, four if everyone in your party is going to be ordering something else. Even their breakfast is huge. If you think spinach, mushrooms, grilled onions, and cheese go well together, the Popeye omelet is just for you. It was delicious.A bit pricey for what I'd usually spend on breakfast. For two people at almost $60 (omelet/scramble/roll) and that's without tip. Maaaybe we should have said no to the cinnamon roll. Lol. It was really good though. P.S Come early. The place was packed when we rolled in a little after 11am on a Sunday.

Came here for breakfast because we'd heard such great things. Maltby Cafe is a cute little cafe in the basement of a building. First off, we were greeted warmly by the hostess at the front, which was followed up by an equally warm and friendly waitress. The food was really good - much better than I expected from a small, local diner type place. The waitress said they were known for their eggs benedict, which was what my wife ordered. Because there were so many items on the menu, I asked for a recommendation, and the waitress recommended the Maltby New York Steak omelet. I should have listened to her because that was what I was eyeing, but unfortunately, I went with the Swedish pancakes. My wife's country eggs benedict was very good. The ham was high quality, and it was a nice twist that they used a biscuit instead of an english muffin, and then the best thing was the hollandaise sauce (although they could have put more sauce on the dish). The sauce was excellent, and tasted fresh and homemade. My swedish pancakes were okay, not bad, but not great. They were a little too thick for my liking, so wouldn't recommend those (man, I wish I'd gotten that steak omelet!). We also ordered one of their "famous" cinnamon rolls to go, and it was definitely good (I mean you really have to mess up to make a bad tasting cinnamon roll), but overall, I'd say it was as good as what you can get at cinnabon. Maltby Cafe definitely serves a very good breakfast, and the service was excellent, prompt and friendly, but I wouldn't say it was the best breakfast I've ever had. That said, I'd definitely recommend, especially if you're near the area and want a high-quality breakfast with large portions.

Our server was awesome, she did a great job in a busy, loud, and crowded environment. Our food was pretty good, they had a large variety on their menu. 3 of us had the Chef salad, one had an omelet with taters. I wish they had more daily soup choices available as they had only one so I opted out. I looked around at many other of the diners meals and it all looks yummy! Down side too is the narrow stairs and tight entryway and dealt with a rude customer. Definitely not ADA friendly. Long line and seating wait time. I have had a taste of that huuuuge cinnamon roll years ago. If it is still the same it's worth the affordable $8.50.

Food is scrumptious. Drinks are flavorful. Staff was wonderful and helpful. Place was packed elbow to elbow. We had to wait for 10 minutes to be seated. Positive atmosphere. Definitely worth the drive from Arlington! We will be back very soon! Thank you!

This place is always PACKED with people & the reason why the FOOD! Well worth the wait. This is my 3rd time here & this place never disappoints me! It’s a little bit out of the way but worth the drive!

You don’t need the munchies to eat at this “joint”. Excellent food ! Great staff, and fair pricing. 5 out of 5 stars every time.

First visit to this wonderful place! Service was terrific ?.Food is so over the top delicious.Seriously on the cinnamon rollmight take two days to finish.
